Hi All,

This evening around 11:45 I received a distressed phone call from my son telling me the police were at his residence and had entered his home without consent.

I immediately went over to his place and as I was driving down the block to his home I seen over 8 squad cars in the street in front of my sons home. NO PERRIMETER HAD BEEN ESTABLISHED TO KEEP THE PUBLIC FROM APPROACHING THIS SCENE.

I pulled up to the scene and parked at the end of the block behind a squad car in a LEGAL parking area of the street.
I was immediately approached by a female officer and told I shouldn't of pulled up on the scene and parked as I had. I told her I was parked legally. I informed her this was my son's house they were at and I wanted to know what was going on. The female officer "Mcguire" told me I didn't need to know what was going on and "leave" then she was joined by 2 other officers and they proceeded to attempt to intimidate me with in so many
words, "obstruction of justice". I tell the police officers I will leave but I had to first wait for my lady who was talking with another officer. They demanded I leave without her.

So, I backed my vehicle up about 30feet around the corner and waited for my gal. All the while the 3 officers in question kept looking over at me I'm sure contemplating some DUMB move. My lady Cinnamon, doesn't come back to my vehicle when she finished speaking with the officer, she goes unobstructed inside my son's house to get further information. While I was waiting for Cinnamon another concerned party pulled up and parked in the exact same spot I had parked in and the police didn't approach this person with hostility as they approached me. They also didn't demand they move their vehicle and leave.

Cinnamon returns to my vehicle and informs me the police had left my sons house sometime ago and had finished their business there. So, these officer were threatening me and keeping me from a scene they had already vacated.Cinnamon goes on to inform me the police had made a traffic stop on a friend of my son's near his home. A passenger in the car bailed and ran. A police dog tracked the kid to my sons house and this was the interest the police had in my sons home. It turns out my sons wife gave the police permission to search the residence. The kid was not found in my sons home. I don't believe the police caught this kid.

However, what the police have done is displayed another example of poor relations with it's citizens.

I talked to the ex media relations officer, Paul Schnell...I am not sure this is the correct spelling of his last name. Paul is the Sargent in charge this evening I informed Paul I would be writing this story and welcomed him to join us here.

These cops sure are not the way they were when we were kids. They just nothing but garbage now. Instead of working for the citizens, they work for the politicians and the newspapers. I don't have any respect for them at all and your boys girlfriend should not have given them permission to do anything. They ARE NOT your friends any longer and haven't been for some time. The only thing they're intrerested in is busting people for housing code violations and technecalities.....it's safer that way.

Update:

The kid the cops were chasing was arrested! He was found in a utility closet in a common area of my son's apartment building "before" they searched my son's apartment. There was NO reason what so ever for the police to disturb my son's family.

I also neglected to inform everyone that I had asked these officers in question for their names to file a complaint and they refused to give them to me.

When I started this blog over 2 years ago my son had been falsely arrested for spray painting graffiti on our neighbors property.
I bring this up because it seems the abuses by this police department are never ending.

Summarizing the graffiti incident. My son caught these kids spray painting our neighbors property on 2 different occasions and had even fought these kids over the crimes. A girlfriend of one of the perps fingered my kid as the criminal spray painter to a patrol cop who made the arrest.

The investigator looking into the graffiti incidents heard my son was in jail and knew my son was not a party to the crimes and had my son released from jail with an apology to him for having been arrested. This cop is an honorable police officer. His apology to my son cooled my ambition to sue the shit out of this city and the arresting officer.

A few short weeks later I caught this PIG that had arrested my son for the graffiti brutalizing my boy by his squad car in a dark alley. I call him a PIG because that is what cops who abuse their authority are. "PIGS". I'd give this PIG $5000 if he would step into a boxing ring with me. It would be the only way I could kick the living shit out of him and get away with it. You ever want that 5 grand pal let me know, we will see how effective your police training is.

Back to this evenings incident. There was several male officers who came to back up the inflated egotistical power struck female police officers in their desire to chase me away from the incident of my concerns. I asked Paul the Sargent in charge for ALL the officers names. Paul did not give me all their names. If any of you unnamed officers have the balls to come here and face my allegations publicly you are welcome.

I got to thinking, there must be retribution for police officers who abuse their power. I know that Internal Affairs is just a bunch of bullshit so why bother with a complaint.

Many city leaders and police officers think code enforcement is a wonderful way to address citizens behavioral issues. This policy has put hundreds of INNOCENT citizens on the street including children. Will this policy help with rogue cops?

So, now I am left with the dilemma of how do I make an effort to correct the abuses of power "some" police officer take the liberty of committing. I am all to tired of facing these realities of citizens being beaten for something they said to a cop. I hear these stories of the police abusing the Obstruction of Justice law all to often.

This is what I have come up with, McGuire, Vang and any other cop who has the balls or even half a ball to come here and identify himself as a party to the abusive directives made to me. This is YOUR "DIRECTIVE" and your "ULTIMATIMUM".

McGuire Vang, I will have your addresses by the end of the day. So, look your homes over real good ladies because I am coming out with my camera to take a look at your roof, your windows and screens, your foundation, and any other exterior code violations I can find. If there is any, the pictures will be posted right here.

So NOW, get off your asses and inspect the exterior of your homes. I am considering posting pictures of officers homes with code violations who attend raids with code inspectors also.

One more thing.

I give you power abusive cops ONE WEEK to correct any code violations you may find on your homes! IF they aren't fixed I will post the pictures of the violations I find.

Just more negligent cops. There's a fugitive on the lose.....cheased there by the cops dpg and they want.....or take that back....they order you to leave your woman there and just drive away. I'm glad you didn't do it! Who the hell do these guys think they are? Just because they have a badge and ghun doesn't give them the right to act that way or to cause someone to put another person in danger by abandoning them in a situation where only your imagination can tell you what this fugitive did to draw the attention of 8 police cars. Keep nipping at their heels Bob.

I remember during the 70's, the police were sometimes referred to as 'pigs' - and the police came back saying that 'PIGS' stood for P-Pride, I-Integrity, G-Guts.

Looking at the situation now, there is a real shortage of pride, integrity, and guts. The lack of integrity is the hallmark of St Paul city government.

Bob, I feel bad for you and your son. These gestapo activities are going on all over the city.

Pigs: This term was widespread during the 19th century, disappeared for a while, but reappeared during the 20th century. It became especially popular during the 1960s and 1970s in the underground hippie and anti-establishment culture.
*(It is a word commonly used by protesters.)

It has also been used in anti-authoritarian punk and gangsta rap circles. Oz magazine showed a picture of a pig dressed as a policeman on a front cover.

Now that The Democrat's have Obama, we as the people of the United States will make the changes that are needed.
You just lost all freedom to feel safe in our homes and apartments, in our cars, at work, and walking on the city streets.
Now that a Democrat is President, St.Paul City Government will feel that they are above the law.

More proof that code enforcement happens equally across the board. Doesn't matter who you are.
----

The proper steps to take would be to contact the commander on duty that night. My experience is that setting up a meeting is not a tough thing. If there is any unprofessionalism, it reflects internally on the commander in a way that motivates them to correct the situation, as opposed to ignoring it.

The other step is to skip the entire department and go to Human Rights for a hearing. With the restructured and more pumped up agenda, it now has teeth. However, you have to have a violation. It's a hard call because you weren't touched (although the threatening language, 'obstruction of justice', could be examined).

It appears from the story that your strongest route is the complaint describing their behavior as lacking any professionalism or consistency. Refusing to give their names is another concern. Its cops like that, that forced then Chief Finney to have their names sewn on their uniforms. I would definitely call the commander and set an appointment ASAP.

Good luck. My experience has been mixed but mostly good when encountering the police or helping people get some resolve over issues they have had with the cops.

We all know that Bob Johnson's son Buddy was screwed with because of Bob involvement in Whistle Blowing on St.Paul's Government with his "Blog" !
.
"Eric" - You and I know there is such double standards in ST.Paul and their Code Enforcement or their Non Enforcement.
This city covered up about high levels of sewer gases in
Bill Dahn's home, that house should have been condemned until the problem was fixed.
The Democrats in this state helped cover up the other problem in that home, the insulation with 1.51 ppm's of formaldehyde in it that was installed by a company that Ex St.Paul Mayor Jim Schiebel ran for years.
You all remember when
Ramsey Action Program installed that blow in foam insulation that had way to much of formaldehyde in it.
The city code inspectors told the owns of the property to remove it at their own expends or the city would condemn the property, be it home or rental.
.
Eric - All the proof is in the letters sent to Dean Barkley, Leslie Davis, and over the years to Bill Dahn.
This is kick you opponent in the ass time,
by www.BillDahn.com -
Check it out and watch the video of Dean Barkley and Jesse Ventura at Dahn's home on 7-19-1998 bribing him to change parties.
Remember OBAMA didn't start the thing in government with we will make a change, Jesse Ventura and Dean Bakley did it in "98"
Read my web page, now because of this past election and running for Minnesota U S Senate seat my www.BillDahn.com was viewed across the -
United State's and the "WORLD"!
My thanks go out to all that screwed Bill Dahn,

...here we go.

Once again Bill, I ask to name one Republican that tried to help you. It was only DFLers trying to help and fix the mess you made by threatening people and being unreasonable as well as unfocused.

Everyone who reached out to help you, you now scorn. Instead of coming over to the DFL headquarters, why didn't you go over the Republican headquarters? Or republican social service workers? They were closer to you? This was after you trashed the party for having a conspiracy against you, you came for help, and was offered it.

We called and spoke on your behalf and every damn time it came for you to give any account or testimony- You started cussing and screaming and threatening the people who were trying to help you. When I tried to get you legal representation and the people took you in, you were more concerned with prosecuting people instead of getting housing and help.

No Bill, you don't to say all of that because I know the truth. I spent a lot of time apologizing for you and getting you help and you pissed on it because you wanted to sue Ventura.

I did this even though at the time, my job was about elections. Hell, the entire party has one purpose on both sides. However, when people walk in with a problem, we tried to help solve them. You were not asked if you were active in a party. You were not asked for a donation. You were not asked to volunteer or support anyone. You were just asked to tell your story let us try to get your shit back in order. You wouldn't even do that.

There is a part of me that feels for you because I gotta believe a part of the problem is that you really are sick from that exposure. Back then a lot of us thought that and didn't want you living like that. You just refused help, and became hostile.

So here we are.

Hey Eric.....

Free people have the right to move around the community and not be hassled and threatened by the government. Threatening this guy with "obstruction of justice" charges was a violation of his civil rights. He had a legal right to be there. The Police DID NOT have a legal right to tell him to leave......epsecially sine their business was concluded at that point in time. WEHo the hell do these guys think they are? Who do you think you are to once again to stand up for the wrong side? Or I forgot.....these are DFL cops.....those are your guys right?

I for got......He was also threatened with false criminal charges via the "obstruction of justice." Seems to me I remember the newspaper saying that there was a rash of those kinds of charges against African Americans and most of them never held up. These threats of false criminal charges sound familiar from the Rico lawsuits don't they? Wasn't there some poeple there prosecuted falsley?

We should set up meetings with these jerks? What for? To have them sit there and lie to your face?

Well said Eric. Even here and now Dahn can't paricipate in what's going on and try to make a change. He just wants to bad mouth people and call names. I don't think he's sick at all. He's just an outright asshole with zero social skills and an important political figure in his own mind.

Thanks for telling the story Eric. I also wondered about Dahn some time ago and did some checking. All of his facts don't add up to summarize it briefly and politely.

5:51 and 5:55,

I didn't know I took a side you asshole. I thought I gave Bob some options which I have seen resolve problems with the police department. I repeat, options I have seen WORK. What do you offer- nothing but 'it's useless to try anything' defeatist stammering.

No one told him to sit down with these cops but, it appears that you don't even have a basic understanding of how things work hence your reliance on the stupid and dumb.

There is no such thing as DFL cops. Our city cops have been in a struggle and sometimes at odds with the DFL Mayors office for a while now. They endorsed Kelly over DFL endorsed Chris Coleman. They then endorsed Bob Fletcher when the DFL endorsed Finney. They worked against DFL endorsed council members just the last time around. This time around they endorsed Republican Norm Coleman. You look as dumb as you sound when you call them 'DFL' Cops.

Pissants such as yourself, are content with remaining ignorant and devoid of answers. Most people try to figure out solutions to their problems, not just make up shit to basically say its useless to do anything. I gave two options. I know they can work. You gave dimestore legal advice which if you read this blog, hasn't been anyone strong suite on here.

You've offered nothing of substance or fact today and we are all a bit dumber for reading your drivel.

8:10 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Why do I let some of these posts tick me off?

Because they're like whiny children. Nothing is ever their fault and its too much to ask some of them to take a little responsibility and initiative.

Responsibility and initiative like figuring out the power structure in the city, and how to address your grievances to the proper people that can help alleviate the problem. Or, challenging the power structure in a way that brings about a change.

Its intellectually lazy, irresponsible and non-productive to just bitch about what happens and chalk it up to a conspiracy that either doesn't include you or, that's after you.

I'm a party officer in the city DFL and a member of the central committee for the state DFL, for years now. I have yet to attend a meeting where the word 'landlord' is mentioned. No one mentions or insinuates anything less than increasing diversity in the city with more people of different racial and socio-economic backgrounds.

While I consider myself an ally with the cops for the most part, they have not been anywhere close to being lockstep with the DFL in picking candidates. They've pretty much done what they thought was best for their members. If I got a problem, I know who to turn to and get the issue resolved. Depending on what part of town, there are several people starting with the Sgt up to the Council Member or up through the Command or the constitutional route.

Nobody told me, I had to figure it out and observe what works.

These Know-Nothings come on here under the cloak of 'Anonymous' and spout off whatever they want. They have no idea how to take responsibility over their own lives and now they to come on here and hide like cowards and write whatever without standing behind their words.

So Bob has problem. I gave him two options which I know can and have work. If others got something better, put it out there. All that time speculating on my motives have gotten the discussion nowhere.

Its like a bunch of primitive cave dwellers thinking the gods are mad at them because its and there is thunder and lightening. Nobody is after you.

Hi All,

There is no conspiracy to get me or my son in this incident.

The police were chasing a citizen who ran from them. Somebody runs from the police they usually have something to hide. The police dog tracked the kid to my sons home.

The driver of the car who didn't run, is known to the police as being a friend of my sons. SO, naturally the police believed the kid to be at my son's home because the police dog tracked him there.

My son refused entry to the police. Telling them to get a warrant. The police in return threaten to kick my sons door in. I was on the phone with my son when this was going on. My son had every right to not allow the police into his resident. They had no right what so ever to threaten to kick the door in.

My son's wife comes home from work and she allowed the police to search the home. THE KID THE COPS WERE AFTER WAS NOT THERE! He was never caught. The police were acting like a bunch of thugs who didn't get their man.

We have many fine police officers here in Saint Paul. I would like to believe the officers who treated me unprofessionally maybe good cops most of the time.

As you all see, not one single officer involved has had the guts to come here and face my allegations or refute them. The reason being is what I have said here is the truth.

The police violate citizens rights often. For the most part it is young minorities who are being harassed and violated. The police like to keep these tactics from public scrutiny and once in a great while they bump heads with the wrong citizen who drags their dirty deeds into the light of day. The problem is not enough folks who are being intimidated and harassed by these bad cops have no clue of how to bring these things to the public attention.

Eric, I appreciate all you do here. Most of the time we are at odds however in so many ways we are a lot alike.

In this instance I feel I am handling this appropriately. Maybe some what radical, however, I am within the law and I and my family are getting immediate retribution for the transgressions against us.

I have been compiling stories from young black men describing police harassment. I will be telling their stories in the near future.

Actually, no I don't.

I have set up police community meetings. As a matter of fact, it was a challenge to status quo to push for night meetings so that people who actually work, can show up. You can meet with the Eastern District Command on the third Wednesday evening every month. You're welcome.

When I was a civil rights commissioner, we pushed for more teeth in the system and support a stronger Civilian Police Review that investigated allegations of unprofessionalism and brutality.

As a civil rights commissioner, I reviewed dozens of cases questioning the interaction of cops and citizens.

When neighbors were being ignored and dismissed on following up with the police on the outcomes of several arrests, I brought the investigating detective in to a meeting. He was not welcomed with open arms. We then followed up with the police command and attorney's office until we got a straight answer. Bottom line from that, we need more cops involved in juvenile units.

When the cops were looking for support for more cops, I was part of a group who organized to get more cops out on the street.

I have chaired and been involved in a more than a few community meetings with the police over criminal activity. Some turned out positive, some ended with nothing but the need to move to the next level.

Other times, its been successful and you learn who you can work with and will get things done. I've learn to stick with those and when I have problems with the police, get the problem resolved.

I also support police charitable drives.

That's what I've done when briefly on the issue at hand.

And what have you done with police-citizen relations? I mean, you've got to be 20 years older than me. I'm sure your list is long.

Hello dfl Eric.
I have a message left on my phone two weeks before U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone died in that plane crash by Tom Lappeit who also died that day.
If you were close to Wellstone you know that Tom Lappeit was one of the most likeable, caring, and mellow people ever in the Democratic Party.
In September 2002 I dropped off the movie of my home LOOK AT RAP'S WORK, Tom call and said he watched 75-80 % of the film.
He then said to go get two new bids on my house.
Wellstone and everyone else I ever went to for help was all told by Ramsey Action Program's people that there was NOTHING Wrong with my home.
People lie and the rest of this town help hide the truth.
The police brutality on me was told many times, to the civil rights commission, were you the guy that told me that there was nothing the civil rights commission could do for me.
We have a "dfl union" running the st.paul's police and with dfl people like eric to cover up allegations of unprofessional acts and brutality by st.paul's finest and loyal police.
What was that black man that was chief, "bill finney".
He was the one that would give out the "Get Out Of Jail FREE" cards to his friends.
His son beat up gays at the gay bar owned by the lesbian Judge Joan Smith
Of choirs there are good and bad in all colors and religions of people, but st.paul has more kiss asses then anywhere in the USA.
Why is that eric? you always have a answer.
PS. People loved Paul Wellstone, Mark Dayton two great guys and two great Democrats.

St. Paul city councilman sends profane email from city account

A profanity laced email from a St. Paul city councilman is leading to calls for his resignation.

St. Paul businessman, Mike Costello said he got upset last week when he saw City Councilman David Thune protesting at the Republican National Convention.

"I sent him an email saying how disgusted I was and that I thought he was a disgrace to the city and I asked him for his resignation. I said you should resign," said Costello.

Thune responded with an email that said "[expletive] you little [expletive]".

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS obtained a copy of the profanity-filled email which shows it was sent from Thune's official city council email address.

When asked if that was a respectful way to deal with a citizen of St. Paul Thune said, "It is a respectful way to deal with someone of the low class that he is."

"It was vulgar. It was crude and it was sent from his city desk," said Costello.

Thune told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS he stands behind his four-letter words, even though he said he never really meant to sent the email.

"I was shocked. I can't believe he sent it," said Costello.

City officials said there is little that can be done to punish and elected official such as Thune for using city property to verbally attack a citizen.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS asked Mayor Coleman's office what he thinks of the situation. They issued no comment.

Costello said he has filed a formal complaint with the city.

What ever became of that complaint.

Anyone remember the smoking ban and Cosstello's bar having signs up with Thune's picture and a slash mark threw it? Anyone think that Dave Thune already knows that Cosstello is out to get him?

So does anyone think that maybe Thune would think that Costello has balls the size of coconuts to ask for his resignation over suporting the public's right to protest? When the son of a bitch has been working against Thune for years!!1

That the media took Costello's whining as a real story was the biggest joke.

The email went out in the middle of the night from Thune's personal computer.

5:02/Bill Dahn,
Bill you're still a delusional waste.

Tom did not call you and make any promises. The cops union is NOT dfl. In St Paul its called the Human Right Commission and like a district, without probable cause it cannot move on charges. Working with you in the past, I know how you tend to fly off the handle and threaten the people who try to help you. No doubt you did this again. You can't help it.

The rest of these comments are non-germane and pretty silly.

Gee, I wonder how you lost that lawsuit.

Tenant screening

Source:
http://cache.zoominfo.com/CachedPage/?archive_id=0&page_id=1143397591&page_url=%2f%2fww.nhi.org%2fonline%2fissues%2f92%2fstpaul.html&page_last_updated=10%2f11%2f2005+9%3a20%3a14+PM&firstName=William&lastName=Finney

Another initiative of the FORCE unit was to establish a tenant screening service run by the St. Paul Crime Prevention Coalition (SPCPC). Although SPCPC claimed to be a "community-based organization," the idea for the coalition came from Chief of Police William Finney. The head of the police FORCE unit was a founder of SPCPC, and a local resident employed by the police department as a block club organizer was active in the coalition.

The coalition provided landlords with sample forms for prospective tenants to fill out. The forms included questions such as "Have the police ever come to your residence?" and "Do you or have you ever had a case worker from a public housing agency or county human service agency?" Though filling out the form was "voluntary" for the apartment seeker, the form indicated "if the [prospective] applicants refuse to sign this form; the word 'refused' will be indicated on this form and will be considered in the review of the application." The logos of the City of St. Paul and the St. Paul Police Department adorned the top of the form.

SPCPC took names from the daily notices of tenants involved in eviction proceedings and added them to their problem tenants list. What SPCPC did not list, however, were the outcomes of cases, and this put them in violation of state law. SPTU also claimed that the screening service disseminated false and misleading anecdotal information, failed to verify the information provided by landlords, and did not notify tenants of their rights to see their records and challenge information on them.

Constant pressure by SPTU finally ended the illegal and unfair practices of SPCPC. The coalition soon lost its funding and went out of business less than three years after it had formed.

Though largely successful in its attempts to temper the excesses of the local "community-based" war on drugs, SPTU has had to fight the perception that because they are interested in preserving the legal rights of tenants, they are defending criminals and drug pushers.

At the height of the public debate in St. Paul, the police chief wrote in a letter to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the city's major daily newspaper: "I question the motives of the Tenants Union. Do they stand with the honest residents who have called on FORCE and have seen positive results, or with drug dealers who would turn our city into a drug-infested jungle?"

In response, SPTU officials wrote: "We see a problem . . . when under the guise of 'community empowerment,' many low-income tenants and people of color are subject to civil rights violations that result in enormous personal and financial losses as well as the loss of their homes."

Hi All,

This story gets more disturbing. I was giving my son a ride to school this morning and he informed me that on the night of this incident he told the police his Dad was a civil rights activist and he was on his way over. IS THIS THE REASON THE POLICE WANTED TO CHASE ME AWAY? OR, did the police have some malicious attitude like "civil rights activist huh"? We'll show him.

This is very disturbing considering the Sargent in charge Paul Schnell, a ex-media liaison for the Saint Paul Police Dept. was believed to be present during this incident. What kind of command leadership is willing to participate in unprofessional behavior. I will tell you, a DUMB fuck!

I may have to go down to the police department and get the report of this incident so I can identify all the officers present Friday night at this incident.

I have also decided that when I am done composing this comment, I am going to draft a business card for this blog and a contact number for me. I am going to pass the cards out to young folks all over this city, giving all I encounter 2 cards. One to be kept by the citizen at home and one to be kept with them at all times. The card is to be presented to any officer they feel is abusing their rights. Hopefully, upon seeing this card our police officers will think twice about violating a citizen rights since the police officer will be made aware the individual they are dealing with has a public platform to air their grievances. And if they don't think twice, and violate a citizen we will seek retribution.

I almost forgot to mention this.

We have a large number of police officers who don't even live in Saint Paul. There should be a policy that if you are a Saint Paul Police officer, you should reside within the city limits.

Print all the little cards you want to Bob and itr won't chnage a thing. People's civil rights are violated every day in this city and they do it with inpunity because most people do not have the moeny to sue them. What's more, there's many people like Chuck and Eric that not only deny the existence of this crap, but go out of their way to stick up for it. The elite in this city look at the rest of us with disgust. If you don't like something or agree with something, they slander you. If the opportunity presents itself, they'll retaliate aginst you. If you try to shine light on these things without using your name, then people like Eric use the anonimity of the report to discredit it. Keep spreading the word Bob.

What the FOXNews are you talking about?!?!

Chuck hasn't said a word, and I've been the only one to offer some options. You talking about anonymity, is the very definition of hypocrisy (see, you're posting anonymously).

I guess he should listen to you and just crawl up in the bed and roll up under covers and wish it all away.

One of the things the Republicans did when they got control over at the legislature a couple of years ago was change the residency rule at the state level for all employees. Forcing cities to remove the requirement that employees must live within the city limits.

Chief Bill Finney at the time came up with an incentive program for cops who moved back into the city and it was struck down as unconstitutional.

Having cops actually live in the cities they work in is a proving way to build up community relationships and lower criminal activity.

Here in Saint Paul, more of our cops live in town than they do in Minneapolis. Our Chief and the one before him both live in the city as does the President of the Police Federation. Both reasonable and good men.

I know several of the rookies and younger cops are also living in city on the East and West sides of town.
---------
Bob,
I would contact the district command either:
* The Senior Commander for the district is S/C Colleen Luna (651) 266-5526
* The Patrol Commander for the district is Commander Tina McNamara (651) 266-5533

Tell them what happened. Most commanders do not like to hear that they aren't being represented well. It reflects on how they run their area and I'm sure they would be willing to hear you out and rectify the situation.

However, if you want to take this to route you mentioned earlier, I don't advise it as a first step but, here you go:

If you choose to talk with someone outside of the police department, you may contact the coordinator of the Police-Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission or seek out a citizen complaint center, which will assist you in filing a complaint. See the contact information below.

Police-Civilian Internal Affairs
Review Commission
367 Grove St.
Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101
Ph: (651) 266-5583
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Internal Affairs Unit
Saint Paul Police Department
367 Grove St.
Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101
Ph: (651) 266-5760
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

At other times you may contact the on-duty Watch Commander at (651) 266-5627 or the Communications Supervisor at (651) 266-7703.

Citizen Complaint Centers can also assist with filing a complaint:

* NAACP: (651) 649-0520
* Urban League: (651) 224-5771
* Human Rights: (651) 266-8964

More info can be found on the police website.

Again, I would stick with calling one of the commanders and it may solved with an apology to you and your son and assurance it was a slip and not procedure. If it was procedure, then they can explain why- maybe.

If you're not satisfied then, it makes a stronger case to go to civilian review, internal affairs or Human Rights.

That's what they like 6:16 is to hook you up with the people that screw you and then they act like you're the kook if you don't trust them to do a fair investigation. Only time they take action against a cop......or any city employee for that matter is when it gets to a point where they think it cannot be covered up any longer. You see, it's a lot easier and less embarassing to cover it up if they can. I know many people who have went to St Paul Police with valid claims anf they laughed in the guys face because the person being complained about was connected.

Screw you Eric, you think we're stupid that you can keep talking this shit and you think someone is going to believe you? You think people are going to dis-believe what they've seen with their opwn eyes just cause you have some educated spin to put on it to people who can't keep up with you language wise? We got your number pal.

First 6:16 is Bill Dahn.
He is still a delusional waste. He can't take care himself, you want to take advice from him? Good luck.

Second, I'm not spinning anything. Bob wanted to do something about his situation.
I gave names and phone numbers to the police and police command. Then to the police internal affairs AND the civilian review. Then Human Rights, Urban League and the NAACP. There is nowhere else to go. That's all sides of 'what to do' if you want to do something.

I guess he could listen to you all and throw poop at the wall and blame the city or the DFL. That seems to be your answer.

You guys have to be the dumbest, bottom of the barrel, useless bunch.

You're actually sitting back, making insults because someone may be educated? Because someone is trying to help someone else?

That's just sad.

---------------------

Hey Bob, I see you deleted the comment about you following my advice. What's the matter, scared of losing your 'brain trust' here?

This is what they offer, nothing. This is what they've done with your blog- turned it into a bitching board. When people really need help, are these the ones that they really should turn to? The ones who say its corrupt so we can't do anything.

Hell no.

I have not seen Eric try to do much about the corruption. Over the years and the countless pieces of evidence uncovered by ricomen, he tried to dismiss and minimize everything he could. Whenever facts came out he tried to cloud the issues with slanderous remarks about people he doesn't even know. I don't listen to anything you have to say any longer Eric. In my opinion, you have made it pretty clear that you are no more than a DFL "sock puppet."

10:19 PM

That's because the rico men had no case. No evidence and no case. Every lawyer and judge have dismissed their case. Eric standing against the rico men seems to be a pretty easy decision.

no One accept the rico men believe their case. its been how many years now? 4?
Who blew their rico case? the cops? the city lawyers or the county Lawyers? what about the judge? the county judges or the federal one? who's corrupt? everybody? maybe you have no case and are just bad businessmen.

He has by himself whipped Everyone here into a frenzy and no one can match him on his level so you work at the bringing him down to yours.

You keep talking about Bill, we all know that he tried to get his home fixed after that agency put in that insulation and he also mentions sewer gases in it from their work.
I went in to his web site and seen for myself were the letter sent to Barkley on 12-15-1998 about the sewer gas and watched the video with Barkley as the camera.
If Jesse and Dean were not there to bribe the guy and did, what do you call it.
Bill said they covered it up because they did more then just his home.
Eric you seem like you are hiding something, and some people know what Bill does when he's not posting.
Do you.

Eric, I deleted the comment because after I posted it I had a second thought. But since you bring it up. I feared for my son's safety. When the PIG brutalized my son 2 years ago, he lied his F..ing ass off to cover his butt and he claimed my son kicked him and caused an INVISABLE bruise. That's right invisible.

I was OK with hitting these cops in their pockets on a code inspection. I still am. However, you do make some sense Eric. I appreciate you taking the time to inform all who read here the alternatives in filing a complaint.

I have decided to file some complaints as a matter of RECORD.

10:10 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Go for it Bob. One thing you're missing, I gave you ALL the information you need to either; 1.file an official complaint and mark them with a civil rights violation or,
2. alternative ways to address the problem without filing a complaint.

That's what the readers can't seem to wrap their heads around. I'm sure they can read beyond 25 words and its all jumbled in their minds.
-------------
7:01 (or should we call you Bill Dahn?)

Now I'm covering for Barkley and Ventura? Do you guys ever give it a rest.
I saw the video when it was brand new. They were there and said they would pay for his filing. That's not illegal. So what?

When Bill came to us, I was more concerned with getting him housing, healthcare and legal representation, not trying to exact revenge on Jesse Ventura, RAP and Mike Hatch over a house that was condemned. Bill was living out of his car and getting sicker with his inability to focus for an extended period of time.

That was all I tried to do. He f*cked it all up. Everywhere I went, he was well-known to be belligerent on the verge of violent- with the people who were trying to help him. From the county offices to legal aid to one of the shelters.

Of course if we had universal health care for every citizen, like some of us Democrats will be pushing for, Bill Dahn would have gotten the help he needed early on probably would be on here bitching about his tenants and the city making him repair his building.

Defamation, Slander and Libel

Now, Now Eric
You posted this, it make you look worst then me.
First 6:16 is Bill Dahn.
He is still a delusional waste. He can't take care himself, you want to take advice from him? Good luck.

Why start lying to these people?
I never lived in my car, and I sure can prove that.
I never said you were covering Barkley and Ventura's ass
I just ask everybody who reads this blog to go into my web-site www.billdahn.com and watch the two minute video that Dean Barkley was the cameraman, taking the movie of Jesse Ventura telling me that Dean would go down and change me to become a Republican.
They should never been at my home getting me to switch parties, that was braking the law MN.St. 211:b
You keep using the word delusional to describe me,
I was Disorientated from the fumes in that house, be it sewer gases or formaldehyde.
When we are right about any matter that opposes bad government they like to discredit people by saying Quote - The person is "delusional".
Does anyone know what a Rule 20?
It is a mental competency test, and over the years I past every one they forced on me.
The last one, we had a camera crew headed up by Ann Cook Thunderhawk, she quit a nice job with Sandy Pappas and she came and moved in my home to help me fight the fight.
Ann was a Beautiful Native American from the Rosebud Indian Res. in So. Dakota.
Ann as she was working for Sandy Pappas had my insulation tested at Twin City Testing and it had 1.51 PPM Formaldehy.
Sandy told Ann not to help me any longer, then Ann quit her good job do to a white washing in her words.
There is a big different's between being nuts and being pisst-off.
I am a native American and proud of it, just because I was making under $55,000 a year Ramsey Action Program put FREE insulation in my home, that was nice of them.
They over filled the area between the ceiling's with the blow in insulation, we have a video of the house taken in 1996 showing how it was falling to the floor from around the ceiling fan.
Eric is on to try to cover the Democrats butts, Bob Johnson started A Democracy because he was banned at E Democracy for telling the truth.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4097602514885833865

Bob's kids' wife especially needs this lesson.

The people that let the police search their homes or secured areas of their automobiles without a warrant not only put themselves in extreme danger, they put the rest of us at risk by encouraging the police to just assume that everyone will allow it.

Listen.

Do not talk to the police.

Do not let the police enter your homes without a warrant.

Do not traipse up to a crowd of police officers and expect that they are going to accomodate your demands or requests in any way.

Do not traipse up to police for any reason unless you want to go to jail.

The police are not your friends.

The police do not care if you are innocent or guilty.

Their job is to arrest you and collect evidence for the prosecution to convict you.
