Hi All,

When I came back from my vacation from the blog, I cleaned out my desk and discovered I hadn't mailed police murderer Guy Harvey Bakers
letter from A Democracy.

I mailed the letter to Guy on October 31. Allowing for mail delivery time and the prison mail screening process, Guy Baker should get the letter tomorrow or Friday by the latest. Rumour has it he is waiting for my letter and will respond.

These are the first set of questions citizens have for Guy Baker.

Are you treated humanely?

What is it like knowing you will never be free again?

If you had the chance would you change how you lived your life?

Do you have any remorse?

Would you apologize to the Jones and Ryan families?

What is a week day like at Oak Park?

What do you do on week ends?

Do you get visits?

Do you have people who write you often?

Will you tell us what chain of events lead you to this point in your life?

Bob, what's the point of this?

This guy is never going to be back in society again.

I'd rather hear from some of those who will be integrating back into society and hear what their plans are, did the rehabilitation portion payoff, are the staff professional, is that experience a deterrent from committing future crimes?

I think and exchange with someone like that, would be of service to our community more so than an interview with a killer who will never get out again.

I'd b interested in an exchange with the cop killer. I'd like to know what made him do it. Maybe if we understood better how these types of people tick we can do something preventitive sometimes before they lash out and hurt someone. Not talking is not an option, it only keeps you ignorant.

I also wrote a letter to Jackson, the east side home owner who shot and killed a Saint Paul Code Enforcement Officer.I haven't mailed that letter yet. It was lost in my desk with the Guy Baker letter.

I'd like to know what lead Mr. Jackson to such extreme measures in dealing with a code enforcement officer. I have other questions for him also.

When arrested, Guy Baker loudly proclaimed he regretted not killing more police officers. I hope and pray he has changed his way of thinking. Guy maybe locked up, however, he is interacting with folks who will someday be free, this is something to think about. Also, an apology from Guy may not mean a damn thing to many folks, but, to some it may bring some healing.

Eric, or anyone else. If you know a con in prison who will be released to the streets of Saint Paul. Let me know his name, I will write him and see if he will join us here in the A Democracy Pen Pal Project.

If any of you were in jail for a crime that was accidental or framed, then your opinion would change.
Why don't they give AIDS Test when entering prisons, then the spread of AIDS would might be lowered.
People with AIDS are doing the cooking in prisons, would you go out to eat if the cook had AIDS.
NO.

You can't catch AIDS from eating the food cooked by an AIDS victim. Stop the spread of ignorance- shoot yourself.

During the trial for this cop killer all of that was examined. They had doctors and psychiatrists come in and testify one way or another on his mental state. A jury of his peers found him guilty and he will now die behind bars.

There is plenty of up to date, research on murderers, child abusers, cop killers and rapists. Its easy to access and read up, or interview the people that actually did the research and talked directly to serveral of these people for their research. We are not ignorant to these criminals.

I ask again, what purpose does this serve over, say talking to someone who may get out and be among us one day?

If I was in jail for a crime I didn't commit, I'd be helping my attorney with an appeal, not gossiping with a bunch who haven't been able to take care of their own business.
