SHHHH! While we listen to words of wisdom from a wise man.
Conscience is the light of the Soul that burns within the chambers of our psychological heart. It is as real as life is. It raises the voice in protest whenever anything is thought of or done contrary to the righteousness. Conscience is a form of truth that has been transferred through our genetic stock in the form of the knowledge of our own acts and feelings as right or wrong. A virtuous and courageous person can alone use the instrument of conscience. He or she can alone hear the inner voice of the soul clearly. In a wicked person this faculty is absent. The sensitive nature of his / her conscience has been destroyed by sin or corruption. Hence he or she is unable to discriminate right from wrong. Those who are leading organizations, business enterprises, institutions and governments should develop this virtue of the ability to use their own conscience. This wisdom of using the clean conscience will enable them to enjoy the freedom.

So basically its saying that all the gun nuts who need that semi-automatic weapon to compensate for a small wee-wee, can have it and keep it. Obama will not REINSTATE the assault weapons ban. Wow, a liberal not trying to take advantage of fear to take your assault weapons. Who would have thunk it?
Eric
Is that what you really think the right to bear arms is about Eric?
Do you actually what I write or, are you waiting for someone to tell you what I think?
Don't twist assault weapons and 2nd Amendment with me. Next you'll tell me that rocket launchers are legal.
I have said over and over, guns don't bother me. Crazy people with guns bother me.
Obviously, we haven't been able to keep the guns out of crazy people's hands. We have nine mass shootings in 2009 alone.
The 2nd Amendment was put in place to keep regular citizens armed to supplement the standing the army and as a reminder that the government (citizens who controlled the military) doesn't control all of the armed men.
Today we have a watered it down to people who like to hunt and play with guns.
Don't try to paint it as anything else. There are several other rights outlined in the Bill of Rights that 2nd Amenders tend to forget or ignore. Starting with Freedom of religion and assembly. The Fourth Amendment was put to keep your personal body and possessions free from intrusive inquiry- Reagan's War on Drugs to Bush's Patriot Act have erased that freedom from illegal search and seizure. Insurance companies have taken your 6th Amendment without so much as a fight from the 'freedom lovers'.
I'm well aware of the Bill of Rights and support it 100%. It doesn't stop from observing and noting that assault weapons are owned by guys with small wee-wees who couldn't afford the corvette.
Eric
Ok Mr. Know it all.....tell me what makes an assault weapon that all these small wee wees go for......other than the cosmetics of the weapon itself. Are you that smart?
Isn't every gun an Assault Weapon if you use it that way?
And, Eric don't forget one of the reasons this blog exists is the other articles of the constitution.
What they realy don't like is the fifth amendment that says ...nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

I do know the modifications that make a rifle and assault weapon. Anyone can look up the modification by going to Wikipedia and searching Federal Assault Weapons Ban.
I wonder how many know that by making the modifications you have a weapon that is less accurate and NOT as powerful?
Eric
Eric kinda how city inspectors enter homes and condemn them in the name of safety?No search warrent just threats.St.Pauls been doing it before Bush-Wake up FUCK WAD!
Randy
First, you must be new around here, I'm NOT a gun ban advocate. I don't believe it reduces crime or saves lives. You want a gun, great, be sane and get one. Get two or three or four or twenty.
Second, an example of one that is weaker than a hunting rifle with similar sized ammo is the AR-15 which is a semi-automatic version of the military's rifle (M-16), is a .223 caliber rifle. Rifles of this caliber are often forbidden from being used to hunt deer because this small caliber bullet is more likely to wound the animal (and allow it to escape and suffer a slow death) than the more powerful .24 to .30 caliber bullets normally used in deer hunting rifles.
Third, the legal term assault weapon included certain specific semi-automatic firearm models by name (e.g., Colt AR-15, TEC-9, all non-automatic AK-47s, and Uzis) and other semi-automatic firearms because they possess a minimum set of features from the following list of features:
Semi-automatic rifles able to accept detachable magazines and two or more of the following:
* Folding or telescoping stock
* Pistol grip
* Bayonet mount
* Flash suppressor, or threaded barrel designed to accommodate one
* Grenade launcher (more precisely, a muzzle device which enables the launching or firing of rifle grenades)
Semi-automatic pistols with detachable magazines and two or more of the following:
* Magazine that attaches outside the pistol grip
* Threaded barrel to attach barrel extender, flash suppressor, handgrip, or suppressor
* Barrel shroud that can be used as a hand-hold
* Unloaded weight of 50 oz (1.4 kg) or more
* A semi-automatic version of an automatic firearm
Semi-automatic shotguns with two or more of the following:
* Folding or telescoping stock
* Pistol grip
* Fixed capacity of more than 5 rounds
* Detachable magazine
Now certain cosmetic changes are done to beat the legal definition but still violated the spirit of the ban. For example, the AB-10 was a legal version of the TEC-9, with barrel threading and barrel shroud removed; the XM-15 was a legal AR-15 without barrel threading or a bayonet mounting lug; post-ban semi-automatic AK-47s were also sold without folding stocks or bayonet lugs, and with standard or "thumbhole" stocks instead of pistol grips. As the production of large-capacity magazines for civilians had also been prohibited, manufacturers sold their post-ban firearms either with newly-manufactured magazines with capacities of ten rounds or less, or with pre-ban manufactured high-capacity magazines, to meet changing legal requirements.
The ban expired in 2004.

Good point Randy.Inspectors enter homes by threatening condemnation.Is that a warrentless search?Huh Repke?

Who care what kind of weapons we own as long as we can protect ourselves from the government, they will break in a 80-90 year old ladies door and that lady has no rights.
Then they say we made a mistake it was the house next door they wanted, but the old lady dies from a heart attack.
Who cares?
Some DFL'er will say, that one more grunt we don't have to support.
We are all vulnerable adult when it comes to the government, or the police.
Now that Obama got elected we have blacks walking the streets with assault weapons, Finney nor Harrington did anything to protect the people of St.Paul from the black gangs, just the Hmongs.
Maybe Finney was selling the guns that were do to be destroyed to the gang members, and bust them so it looks as if they are do a good job.
Finney's 'boy' went to Lucy's Bar and slapped around a few gay people, remember these gays are still people with feeling.
I seen first hand that the Democrats in St.Paul's Government worked together to silent who speaks out to or against them, starting with Mayor Norm Coleman.
What's up with Chris Coleman turning in his law licence, Norm kept his as mayor?
I am not upset about this government or their crony's , the word that I use is "pissed-off"!
Two St.Paul "crony's" Eric and Chuck, help conceal the truth about the party they dream to be elected to office someday.
Let put these two in as police chief and sheriff.
Billy D. for mayor
