I was at a neighborhood meeting this evening. I don't know what to say Mr. Johnson. Were you one of the men challenging Mr. Helgen?

This information is shocking!

Yes I was at the meeting. I am going to every neighborhood meeting I hear about.

Please folks look to the right of the screen on the front page and scroll down to the links. You will find links to all 3 federal racketeering suits.

Look through the topics here and the truth is written.

These suits have the potential to cost the City millions. Our tax money.

One last note, for new comers to our Town hall Meeting. The image you see of me. IS GEORGE ORWELL.

I will be reporting on the meeting I attended tonight.

I lucked out and went to the meeting only because iI only live a block and a half from there and thought I would walk down while I have a smoke. Usually i don't waste my time at these things, but that's about to change. I don't know if you are the one who gave me the handouts, but if this stuff is true, someone has a heck of a lot of answering to do. Thanks for the heads up!

Mr. Helgen, I also live on the East Side and attended your meeting. I do have one question after hearing the questions and comments at the meeting and reading some info that was provided to me at the door, my question for you is; How can you stand in front of a croud of East Side residence/citzens and say you are here to make the community better? Yet you have stood by and allowed the behavior of city officials to get out of control to the point innocent people are becoming homeless, homes are being torn down and becoming vacant lots many because of some corruption withing the department and lies to justify these action? I also feel it is time for some answers. This mistake looks as though it is going to cost the city and taxpayers a lot of money.

Helgen lives over in the Como neighborhood. His district has part of the Eastside, Northend and Frogtown. I'd like to know what is he doing to help those areas.

So who went and what happened?
How many people showed up for him that weren't from this group?

They delivered an elderly woman named Betty Speaker her condemnations orders while she was sick and in the hospital.

And they refused to let her union carpenter son do any repairs on the house.

I attended that meeting and couldn't hear evrything, but I did hear one thing and that was that the city intends to use their housing inspections program to address the behavior issues of the tenants. If they can use this power over renters, I suppose the next thing will be going after us homeowners for the actions of our children!

Well, I can see where that "going after us homeowners for the actions of our children" would be more than beneficial. If any of the regulars here have kids, somebody should be checking up on them! The city officials are just the people in my book.

Code Inspectors already did do this, I beleive with Betty Speakers son. They went to his house and loaded him down with orders. If anyone has the exact story on this, please post it.

They already are holding the homeowner responsible for the children. There was a homeowner on Fremont that had bad kids and the city took her to court and got a court order so she could NOT live in her own house for 12 months! She had to move into the street to live.
