Hi All,

I was going to write this story weeks ago and so much came about that I didn't have time to fit it in. SO, here it is now.

I attended the hearing in Federal Court to determine whether the City Council should be deposed or not concerning the RACKETEERING Lawsuits against the City of Saint Paul.

First thing that came to mind as I was sitting there in the court room was, why are we even here if the City Council has nothing to hide. If they are proud of the objectives they have accomplished, why not brag about it?

No decision has been handed down yet as to whether or not the City Council will be deposed. What I will tell you folks is some interesting observations from that hearing.

I was sitting in the back of the Court room with my Editor Jim Swartwood of the Watchdog News. I observed City Attorney Seeba swaying back and forth in her chair nervously awaiting the hearing. She on one occasion turned and erupted in what seemed to be nervous laughter to respond to something said by her colleagues sitting behind her.

Miss Seeba presented her case first. She started with volumes of anger and the venom as she spoke was confusing to me.I thought what forces behind her are bringing her to this state of mind in which she was losing control.I felt a sympathy for her. Here was this attractive seemly intelligent woman ready to explode!

Then Shoemaker the plaintiffs attorney presented his side of the motion before the court. Shoemaker is a calm, cool, professional. He told his story without spewing one once of venom.

I was looking at the people I assume to be the plaintiffs and I was wondering how many of them knew of me. I wanted to introduce myself and say hey people I am here for you, I support you. Only I didn't dare since I know these jerks in the City would fabricate some lie to discredit the truth from being told if they thought I had a relationship with any of the plaintiffs.

It has been over a year and I can honestly say I deliberately have not established a personal relationship with any of the plaintiffs.

When this is all over I hope to meet with all of them. They are victims of politics and I have been their unaffiliated mouth piece for a long time. I don't know for sure but, I hope I have made some friends.I hope I haven't angered any of them or made their case harder to win because of my desire to inform the public of the truth.

My God be with all of you. Yes, even you Ms. Seeba.

Bob,

I know how hard it is for you to write this in light of your recent loss.

I see what is happening here in St. Paul and as a life-long DFLer. my parents are turning around in their grave if they knew what their fellow DFLers were doing in St. Paul. I bet they would turn in their DFL membership cards. When we cleaned out their things, we found some from very old DFL membership cards, HHH, Kennedy stuff. Oh how Jack Kennedy and HHH Sr. and other leaders from this era must be feeling to see what all they worked so hard for has really turned into. For goodness sake, take Lantry for example, she went to St. Agness and she is pro-choice. Look at Vento who I campaigned for, the same deal. At one time the DFL was prolife.

Take a look at Minneapolis. DFL controlled for the last 40+ years and look at their crime rate.

We are not better off having the DFL in charge of the two major cities of Minnesota. Rybak and Coleman are a BIG disappointment. St. Paul and Minneapolis could be doing so much better. With one party rule, the problems like what Bob is reporting on happen. No matter what party you belong to if one party rules for too long only this only breeds these types of situations.

Minneapolis and St. Paul needs new leadership to combat the corruption of one party rule has fostered over the last 40+ years.

I love St. Paul, but hate the road some DFLers have taken.

Frustrated in St. Paul

When you take the Lord out of your city and input the things He hates, and I'm talking about supporting what He hates as well going along with and pretending you don't see all the evil and greedy goings on in the system, He will take away His blessings and soon you will stand alone with satan. It's really hard to find prayers for you, but when you think where your eternity will be spent by your works and faith, that's all one can do.

Those enjoying the apple of the desire that were acquired by ill-gotten measures, won't be enjoying them forever and will never enjoy treasures in heaven and it is a real shame that they are so intelligent to put this plan into effect and take some other poor lost souls with them, but they can't see all the real jewels they will be missing in eternity.

I can say to Andy Dawkins, Steve Magner and various other people associated with them: God hates what you did!

Steve Schiller, I still pray for you.

Rather than bash the city for their actions, I will simply say that I left. I was smart enough to figure out that I had a choice, and I chose not to live in a place where city officials were doing what they were doing in my neighborhhod.

For all of you that think all this uproar is much a do about nothing, you are wrong. I lived there and I saw it with my neighbors. I lived by their homes, I saw the inside of some of their homes after some of the code inspections and I had the parts in the inspections pointed out to me that were flat ass outright lies. The real problem that we had were some neighbors who were predjudice against minority people and were using the inspections department to try and advance their own personal agenda.

The neighbors were using the City Council to further their racial agenda, not the inspections department. They call Kathy Lantry....she gets complaints in her office all the time, and she even says so during Coucnil meetings. She then sends out the inspectors to do the dirty work.

I remember a story in the paper a few years ago about an out of town guy that wrote the City Council a letter complaining about some business deal he had over a hearing aid of all things. It said right in the paper that Kathy Lantry sent a housing inspector out to the business owners house house. This housing code inspections thing seems as if it is a "catch all" for everything the city doesn't like about a person.

12:25, I have to agree with you.

Bob, fitting pic of Orwell. It is written, Orwell's expression is of "bountiful anger"..

One party rule leads to totalitarianism. Greed, corruption and loss of civil rights.

"Greed, corruption and loss of civil rights?"......well you have described St Paul perfectly.

I can't wait till these things go to trial. I intend to be there for every single day of it. There have been so many times people have went and begged to the city council and their phoney legislative hearings for some kind of justice, and all they do is look down their nose at you and most of the time don't even acknowledge that anyone said anything. They just vote 7-0 to screw ya. I feel good that they will not have a vote on the jury that is coming for them!

Maybe someone should take a look at the houses the city officials live in and see what kind of condition those houses are in!

Seeba is emotional because the lawsuits are frivolous and harassing.

This statement taken nearly one year ago from Duluth council spokesperson referring to TRA's and other illegal code compliance actions. Be wise 11:01 AM. Oh, maybe this is old news again. Oh well, it's worth reminding:

"But it would be wise to wait until the RICO suits against St. Paul have been decided before adopting the program here. Duluth needs effective action to repair problem properties, not costly litigation."

I went to see Miss Seeba presented her case, Then Shoemaker the plaintiffs attorney presented his side.
We see that there was some irritability by Miss Seeba, why was she upset if she was in the right?
Frivolous lawsuits are just a word government uses, they say that it is "frivolous" so they do not have to deal with them.
When we persist, they say we are harassing them.
Then they use the Judges under their control, to put a harassing restraining order against us.
They want to shut us up before some one hears about it, with the same problems.
You will hear the word frivolous over and over in these RICO Suits.
They say our claim has NO Merit, meaning it is a "frivolous litigation".
I have spoken out, about want the government claims to be frivolous.
It was before Allen Page at the Supreme Court.
It is on record that I said my piece, to fright for our right to pursue justice.
If we bring suit against city, county, state, or federal government or their agencies, to stop us they will do anything to discredit our suit.
We have merit, but the government has more money.
They use our tax dollars to fight us.

You are so right Bill, but what they don't have is the law or any facts on their side and that makes a lot of difference. I went to a wedding reception with my wife a few weeks ago and much to my suprise, the guy seated right accross the table from me is one of the people in these lawsuits concerning the code enforcement issue. We started talking about it a little and the more I heard about it the more questions I had. What I thought was going to be a 5 minute conversation turned into most of the night with many other people starting to congregate around our table to listen and add their 2 cents worth. I heard way more in a hour or so than I have in the 3 months I have been reading this blog. The evidence I heard about is more than just convincing. I didn't hear this guy once say they wanted anyone to take their word for anything. There is overwehlming evidence on the city's own documents. The city was busy rigging the court system (and with the court's help)behind everyone's back so they could win all their cases. They even went so far as to tell the court which judges they wanted and which ones they did not want! They went after people with criminal prosecutions either to try and shut them up or retaliate or both. They brought civil prosecutions against property owners and lied to the court not only about code violations that did not even exist, but also about having victims when sometimes they had none! Rather than go on for ever with all the details, let me just say that if these guys have a half the evidence they claim, I don't see a good ending for the city in this, not to mention that it all comes to a boil right at election time for the City Council. What I was most intrigued by was the answer I recieved when I asked him how much money he thought they would get. It seems they are not as interested in money as they are in having a trial, presenting their evidence and having the public know what is happening to people. This should be very interesting!

9:19, well you are luckier than I. I have to wait until this information becomes public before I can put my hands on it.

Give me a little credit. I and the Watchdog News are the only media venues covering this.
