Gangs Of Saint Paul

Please click onto the title of this post for a City Pages story about gangs in Saint Paul. Like I have said over and over, we need to intervene in these kids lives at an early age with strong mentoring programs to give these kids the positive support they don't get at home.

Only gangs I am worried about are these gangs of landlords. They rape our neighborhoods and now they want to be paid for their efforts? What a joke. The only ones Racketeering are the landlords!

Well the only landlords left are the city operated properties so I am assuming those are the ones raping the neighborhoods as you referred to. So you would be correct again the city would be racketeering too!

Hey 9:03 how about the head of vacant buildings Steve Magner. This is the guy who decides if a building should be considered vacant and if it needs a code compliance. He knows where the ownwer lives and if they have the financing to complete a code compliance. This is a guy who is in bed with Marcia Moermond and has you in a corner before your appeal to her. This is the guy on the top of the Vacant building mountain.

He also is friends with the biggest Vacant home buyer in the city of St.Paul. This guy even built Magners Daddy a brand new home.

So is it really far fetched to believe Magner can bend a home owner over a barrel and then let his developer buddy come in a cherry pick.

Big conflict of interest. I say RICO also. And the sad thing is the city was warned about this 1 to 2 years ago and did nothing. Te really sad thing is the city attorneys know this now and Magner still has a his job.

So Chuck is this all just fair game for a city official with such a crucial part in housing to be involved with?

Bob you are so right with the mentoring of these kids. Kids need a structured life and activities to keep them busy and interested in acheivement. I think the home life for many kids is lacking in quality family time due to the fact that in many households both parents are working and don't have the time to spend and/or the involvement time with their kids. Being involved in a childs school activity is important for the childs acheivement in school as well. If more tax money was spent on activities and programs for kids instead of some other areas it seems to be wasted on the city would actually save money in the future..

I wonder if it would be cheaper to just buy their properties from these landlords rather than keep on fighting a lawsuit with them. At least we would get them out of town,

That is a big threat. To send an inspector to your house and an even bigger one to send Magner. Than all you are doing is agreeing that if you want someone taken down, send in the crooks. You just named what RICO is. If you email Magner that these people need to leave your neighborhood and Magner arrives and does his nasty job on them and then Waldo appears and starts planning his takeover, that is RICO. If you want to know why ask Waldo, where is Waldo?

The times and costumes have changed, but the play stays the same. I think it's engagement is becoming limited and will close soon.
