Both to serve their time, nearly three years, out of state

Two former Ramsey County sheriff's employees convicted on corruption charges turned themselves in to federal prisons Thursday.

Mark Naylon and Timothy Rehak had until 10 a.m. Thursday to surrender. Naylon arrived at 9:26 a.m. at a minimum-security satellite prison camp in Florence, Colo., and Rehak got to the minimum-security facility at Morgantown, W.Va., at 9:56 a.m., according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The two originally were to report to prison March 9, but they sought a 14-day delay. The government objected to any extension.

A federal judge handed down an order March 2 that gave Naylon and Rehak until Thursday.

Both men filed motions saying they intended to drive to their respective prisons with their wives.

Naylon, 49, and Rehak, 48, were convicted last year of taking money in an FBI "integrity test," a sting operation aimed at snaring corrupt law enforcement officers. Both men maintain their innocence, say no money was stolen and claim they intended to take the money for only a short time to play a practical joke on their supervisor.

Rehak was sentenced to 35 months in prison, Naylon to 30 months.

A judge recommended the men serve their time at the federal facility in Duluth, but the Bureau of Prisons made the final decision.

Rehak was a veteran St. Paul police officer on special assignment in the Ramsey County sheriff's office and later became a sheriff's employee. Naylon had been hired to be Sheriff Bob Fletcher's official spokesman, but testimony at trial showed he spent most of his time engaged in police work, though he wasn't a licensed peace officer.

Jail Time!

Ramsey County Sheriff's Employees
or
St.Paul City Government

.
Why did Chris Coleman give up his Attorney License?

What was he afraid of if he kept it?

He must be smarter than Norm Coleman he kept his Attorney License.

Maybe while Chris was councilman he made deals with some contractors?

Maybe "he" told them he would help them if he was mayor?

There were a few big building projects that were going over on the West Side Flats, one was The Bridges Project.

1965 Flood determined that there would never be hosing in this area again because it was a flood plain, and they made the owners of the property on the flats to sell or be condemned and then their land would be taken.
That's what they do now, "condemn" and tear it down.
Who has the contract to tear these homes down.
Between now and election day,
The Chris Coleman probe we be on.

REMEMBER ONE THING CITY GOVERNMENT?

"NO MORE STEALING FROM THE PEOPLE"
TO HELP YOUR FRIENDS MAKE MONEY.

The next St.Paul Mayor.

I find it interesting that these two criminals are serving their time outside Minnesota for crimes they did here.

With the police federation and others bitching that Sara Jane Olson serve her time in California, including parole.

Now lets see if the police federation objects two these two convicts serving their probation / parole in Minnesota or the place they were imprisoned.

I think its because of two reasons:

1. It was a federal case, therefore the entire federal prison was an option instead of just those in Minnesota and;

2. Putting one real cop and one employee who played cop in local prison may not be the safest thing for them, or any prison with outside contact as they will be known as dirty cops. They were involved in drug and gang arrests. I'm not familiar with the details of minimum security compared to a regular prison but its not like OZ I'm sure.

Is it true there are more criminals that has some kind of law degree or sit on the bench as judges then in Washington DC.

This happen some time ago, but the idea is that it is happening to much.

This Former Judge Disbarred
A former state Appeals Court judge has agreed to be
disbarred after pleading guilty to stealing from the trust
fund he managed for a mentally disabled woman.
Roland Amundson will be sentenced next month on five
counts of felony theft by swindle. He waived his right to a
hearing on his disbarment.
The Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility had filed
papers on the case with the state Supreme Court, which
will make the final decision on the disbarment.
Amundson resigned from the bench in March. He pleaded
guilty April first to stealing more than $300,000.
He has said he was undergoing treatment for depression,
and that he didn't need the money. He has agreed to
repay all of it.

Shame on him, and shame on government for not watching money of either physically or mentally disabled people.

Why is it that everytime something about Fletcher or the Sheriff is printed here, 'some' people find it their own interest to change the subject?

How any dirtbags that were arrested by Naylon while he was pretending to be a cop will be released? Or, at least get a re-trial because the arrest was not constitutional.

I believe these two were thrown under the bus at the same time the Sheriff started arresting everybody at the RNC he could find, just to deflect further internal investigation.

In ten years, how many criminals were set up by Naylon? How many paid Naylon until they ran out of money, only to be narc on or arrested by this piece of shit?

He was able to do this because he is Fletchers best friend.

Didn't we have a cheif who tried to give special privledges to his best friend?

This story will not end with these two reporting to prison.

Witch did you mean by cheif, was that Bill Finney?

Fenney's friend Aaon Foster got away with murder.

Foster didn't get away with murder. He was tried twice in a court of law and not convicted.

I blame the initial sloppy police work of the burb cops who didn't gather enough evidence The person who thought to focus on Finney instead of the evidence which would probably have lead to Finney being involved in the investigation and the Sheriff who brought it back to court without any new evidence but do so just in time for his re-election against Finney. Now, even if there is a video tape of Foster shooting her, he can't be brought up for murder again.

I wonder if these two idiots going to prison were involved in re-opening that case?

Yes, Foster got away with murder.

Finney was involved in the case because he involved himself in the case at numerous lebvels.

Bill Finney was and is a crook who will have a lot to answer for someday.

More about Bill Finney criminal ways will be coming out in a few months.

How come the manager of this blog removed some of the posts from this thread in reply to 10:30? Heres mine again. 10:30 Foster was NOT tried twice in court. He got away with murdering that lady and cheif Finney helped him.

Who the hell is the invisible man? I thought Bob was the only moderator here. Now the invisible man is censuring this blog? Did Bob give the blog to someone else?

The Invisible man has been moderating for about 6 months now.
He has full access to the blog administrative panel. He is a big help when I have been away from the town hall.

There is a reason he wishes to remain anonymous. He is a well known DFLer. He is also a SPIF member and does not want to be ostracized for participating here.

WHAT!

Bob you have a SPIFer pulling the shots on A Democracy.

Bob, I thought I got away from all that crap on SPIF only to find SPIF is running the show here.

I have posted some interesting things here only to have some DFLer/SPIF nut take my posts down.

Bob, I am pissed! Can you tell by the tome of my writing?

How dare you have a SPIFer / DFLer moderate this forum. We left SPIF because of the crap Rick Moons and crew have pulled. We feel that this is one of the last open forums, but having a SPIFer / DFLer pull our posts is the last straw.

Now are you going to ban me or pull this post?
