I see a new roof, new paint, and that dumpster full of stuff suggest to me the interior was being renovated also.

Same old shit I bet! The city has the owner put thousands into the place and if the owner can't meet the city's seemingly never ending demands for repairs, the building is demolished.

I read the code enforcement report on this house. I don't have time right now to post it. Maybe someone here will post it today.

I read in the report the previous tenant complained there was no hot water for 3 weeks. Having worked with the rental housing industry in the capacity of a contract handyman for years, I can tell you there is a 95% chance this tenant didn't have their rent and lied to the city. Of coarse this is the kind of thing code enforcement and this city council WANT to hear from a tenant so they have an oppurtunity to get inside the dwelling to write it up for repairs.

It has been shown right here at A Democracy the city uses less than honorable citizens (meth heads) and anyone else who will give support to their agenda of removing affordable low income housing from the private sector.

Sure looks like an agenda to me. I'd like a followup on what's the effect on the owners of these houses.

As with 14 Jessamine, they show up when people are there working and almost done and tell them they have to stop cause they didn't finish on time. Then they tear it down!

If this isn't good enough, then what is? And please don't give me your crap about it being a blight, we're not going to disbelieve what we see with our own eyess. There's nothing wrong with it. The problem is Lantry down at city hall.....she thinks everyone and everything including homes are below her phoney elitest standards.

Bob, play the tape on this one the guy asked for an extension and Thune gave it to him the work is almost done.

If Bill C. is around, he can comment he was in this building before the guy started work on it. It was a mess and this guy has put real money into it. It isn't going to be demo'ed. He will get what ever time he needs to finish it.
