Helgen is a non factor!

His ward is up for grabs.

Go to any corner bar and the word is Helgen sucks!

These Council people aren't going to have time for City business!

They will be needed to give depositions and testify in court for the crimes against the citizens of Saint Paul.

Please tell me Dave Thune is done. Doesn't he have a job lined up with MA Mortenson again- Or is it with the Health Care industry now? Dave, please go away-- for good this time, no need for an oncor.

Not so fast on those depositons pal. I know someone in those lawsuits and the word is that the city is fighting the landlords in court because the people on the city council fear having their depositions taken. There is going to be a hearing in court regarding it later this month. Perhaps Bob could find out where and let us know. I think I would like to attend and get a look at these guys after hearing so much about them.

Lantry is a little to heavy for Vegas. She'll have to stick to the dives around town here.

Can you find out about these Bob and let us know? After all the banter back and forth I would like to see how much bite these landlords really have.

So the City Council is afraid to have their Depositions taken huh? If they had clean hands one would think they would want to come in say what they have done for teh city and take credit for it.

This is the revealing part folks....if you have nothing to hide, why would you spend the taxpayers money and your time fighting in court to avoid having to testify under oath? I think there's a rat in the woodpile here.

That's the point....they do have something to hide. Looks to me like they are in a impossible situation. If they come and lie they are screwed, and if they don't testify , then they are trying to cover something up. Either way it doesn't look good to me.

that's a good one, local bars as a barometer of the voting populace!

All of a sudden the credibility has shifted just a little bit more toward the landlords for me. It doesn't take a genious to figure out if someone has a fear of testifying, that means they have something to hide. How in the world could the St. Paul City Council possibly have anything to hide from a bunch of landlords? The only thing I can think of is that there must be some truth to what the landlords are saying in that lawsuit.

I agree 100%. These so called leaders pretend to know it all, have the biggest mouths in town, along with the most failed policies and strategies, and when it comes time to walk their talk, they want to hide behind their crooked court system. I can't really say I am suprised, this is more the norm for them.

If you live, own property or do business in saint paul attention!!! This message is for you: coming soon to a neighborhood near you, reckelss behavior on the part of your city council members and officials. What will they have in store for you? Lies, cover-ups, arrogance, corruption, failed resemblence in human emotion, shameful decisions made on your behalf and a big sham. All heading your way to a home or street corner near you.

If you don't like the show however, there is something you can do about it this November and with little effort and only one hour from your day you can change the line up. Save your home, business and family from "it" heading your way.

So many poor people left to exploit and such little time left before the election, the St. Paul City Council will probably order an all out assault on property owners this coming spring.

Coming soon to your neighborhood: Many more vacant buildings and plumeting property values resulting in less tax revenue which will in turn result in larger tax increases for the propety owners who have survived.

SAVE YOUR RETIREMENT. DUMP YOUR HOME AND GET OUT NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN. DISCOVERS THE JOYS OF THE SUBURBS. LOWER PROPERTY TAX, LOWER CRIME, CHEAPER HOUSES, POLICE DEPARTMENTS THAT ACTUALY FIGHT CRIME INSTEAD OF ENABLING IT, HONEST GOVERNMENT, DRIVEWAYS TO PARK IN WHEN IT SNOWS, FREE PARKING WHEN YOU SHOP, NEIGHBORS WITH BRAINS ENOUGH TO ADVANCE THEIR OWN AGENDAS INSTEAD OF HAVING THEIR CITY OFFICALS DO IT AT SOMEONE ELSES EXPENSE.

Hi All,

It's no wonder the East side neighbors want the houses leveled. The media blitz that vacant homes are the problem has the people convinced. Once again the media is used to sway public opinion!

yeah, b/c the people that lived in the neighborhood really dont' know anything about their neighborhood, just like all these suburban posters bemoaning st. paul.

Should the gullible be left to their own devices? Sooner or later you will, so don't sweat it. Some who don't "live in saint paul" have investments, so.... they do have an interest. Listening to them will give you unbiased reasoning. Do you really think that all the highly paid CEO of those multi-million skyscrapers, including those that own and rent them out, are posting on here. They don't live there and they don't care about vacant buildings and crime because they will make a buck anyway and maybe even in spite of it. So what you are doing is shoving your resentment towards the small business person, maybe much like you, that really shows how confused you are in all this. Now you will post back some quirking little post to show your sarcasm, won't you?

4:42: Bemoaning was used in "keep your porch light on" 4th down on thread. You can hitch in on words though eh? Bemoaning for the most part is a biblical word that means to complain or mourn but usually in suffering and in a supportive role of or with someone else in their sufferings.

So if those who live in the suburbs, as you have moaned, post here, why don't you tell us how offended you are that we dare do this.

Are the landlords in power now.
We see that they have a lot of pull.
Good for you and BAD for Government.
