Assault On East Side
At about 7:10 this morning a thirteen year old Saint Paul girl was grabbed and assaulted near Payne and Hyacinth on the East Side. It is not certain, at this time, what the motive for the assault was. The young woman was transported to Children’s Hospital.
The suspect in this case is described as a black male,18 to 20 years old 5’8’ to 5’10’ tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
There are some similarities between this incident and a case that occurred on January 1st near Payne and Lawson and Police are asking for the public’s help to identify this suspect. Police are still canvassing the area but students who may have been on their way to school may have seen this person in the area of Payne and Hyacinth and not be available to speak to officers until later in the day.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Saint Paul Police Department’s Family and Sexual Violence Unit at 651-266-5685

And this is the "good part" of the east side. But I suppose anywhere close to Payne isn't that good. Can't sell a house around this area and can't be safe living here.
Eric - wonderful east side you got there!
Many of these crimes are becoming very senseless, just like the attack of the pregnant lady at the Midway Cub parking lot... The police really need to focus more on the violent criminals rather than housing code violations and WWB incidents..or to put it bluntly the discrimination stops that they tend to use to get their arrests numbers up.
Nancy
If you landlord didn't rent out to these criminals, we would have a lot better city. We just had a rape a week ago right up the street and now this. I am sick and tired of you landlords unleaashing your criminals on us.
Maybe these people wouldn't be violent criminals either if they HAD A HOME TO LIVE IN! Stable housing is an important ingrediant to ones life...
Nancy
To the "a - hole" that said this about the landlords
I am sick and tired of you landlords unleashing your criminals on us.
If the COPS would stop picking on
honest people and the landlords and start looking at some of the so called "GOOD" people.
We might get something done,in st.paul.
Why is the landlord's always responsible.
If you were a ass hole criminal buying a home,
Would people blame the banks?
Or would they blame the realtors.
You could do more, then just put in your time at work.
Start caring for someone or something beside your Johnson aka dick.
We are getting something done in St.Paul and no thanks to you. Landlords are responsible because they are the problem. If they didn't bring their problem tenants to our neighborhoods, we wouldn't ahve half the problems we have now. You are a landlord loving renagade and I'm afraid your days are numbered. The more cops and the more code enforcement the better. Maybe some day we can look like the better parts of the city do instead of the armpit of some problem.
I was just curious to if anyone knows...is E-Democracy still going or have they given up??? I was thinking maybe they have all joined over here so they can remain anonymous with there ignorant attitudes..
Just seen this story on the 10:00 news. This bastard raped this little girl and almost choked her to death.
Citizens should make an extra attempt to drive through this area in the early morning hours and be very observant. You could be the person that stops this creep. Take a cell phone with you.
And for you rowdy types wear your ass kicking boots!I'll be wearing mine.
I forgot all about them for a while. I used to look at their site all the time, but it seems to have gotten so boring that all of a sudden you just don't msis them any more. Come to think of it, I am better off. My head doesn't hurt as much lately.
The neighborhood is unsafe because not enough nieghbors are turning in problem properties. Too bad the girl wasn't carrying a cattle prod with her, she could have given this guy some stimualtion he'd never forget.
I have a hunch folks!
This pervert lives on Payne Ave., or a side street near a corner on Payne. He sees his victims walking alone. He is opportunistic..
Land of 10,000 pervert!
When he is arrested and castrated will see if my hunch was right.
Now if I was the police I'd have my smallest undercover out walking Payne Ave. as bait.. Does our police dept. have that kind of tenacity?
Bob, these nit wits will go on a witch hunt to close affordable rental housing!
If they get enough homes in that immediate area the rapist will eventially be run out of his home and go someplace else. When he starts raping in another neighborhood the police could call it random and the public won't have to fear a rapist/potential murderer..
This is serious stuff. Do we have a Bundy in Saint Paul?
Maybe the Police should bring in all the landlords for questionsing and show him sketches of this guy. One of those rotten landlords rents to this guy. Hold all the landlords in jail till they give the guy up.
Payne and Hyacinth is not a house address, it is a street address. The same city of st paul streets that we pay taxes on and the same taxes that go toward cop salaries to keep these strees safe.
It takes a special sort of person to handle being a landlord with all the civil right laws you must follow and the city using them against you. It takes another sort of person who whines about everything, but gives no valuable aid to solve anything. They just sit there day after day reading things that the main stream media want you to believe and they are so gullible that they fall for it everytime.
Then you have the court system who will let this criminal go without any kind of rehabilitation. When you were a kid did you really think sticking all the bad attitude students together for detention was a good idea? So if the courts anoint these criminals free to walk the streets with "us", then who is really responsible. "Take care of me, whaaaaa, here we go again. If the person is of an age of understanding, they are responsible for themselves.
5:09 PM is the same person who names the bars responsible for smoking, not the person consenting to inhale and visit the establishment. I'm sure if he tripped over the sidewalk in st. Paul, he would have no problems suing them over his stupidity. It's one thing to be stupid and cause something yourself, it's quite another when others, with all the power, are pushing all of life's problems onto you. We will see what happens later on this year. Things will be happening, and anyone can see that only one shoe has dropped. Who does this town teeter for, it teeters for thee.
I'd like to hear some real arguments about the landlord being responsible. Please tell more about exactly why what happens on the streets is the landlord's fault. We're all listening.
8:14 PM: I know who you are. You have a few DWI, don't you? You also have at least one domestic violence arrest against you. That is what I see when I looked up your record. Do you rent or own? I will find out which and either your landlord, your mortgage company, or the real estate agent what sold to you will be beseiged until your notice is given or you are forced to sell and move, we don't like your kind around our kids. We think that it is your type that starts generation after generation of this type of behavior.

There is a problem at the property located at 367 Grove Street. The occupants are taking pay checks and are not getting the job done.
That is called job security...And one of the benefits of working for the city.
I'm sick and tired of hearing about meetings, press conferences, and all your other BULLSHIT just to make it look like the city is doing something when it is actually doing nothing. You people have a story and solution for everything, includung who to blame when your hollow promises materialize. Stop talking and blaming everyone but yourself St. Paul and start doing your jobs.
