Why aren't these people in jail?

They are not in jail because the real crooks in our scoiety have hi-jacked the government, and as such, they control the courts and all the law enforcement functions of government. They run for office, get elected by an ignorant citizenry, and then proceed to more damage than any criminal ever could.

Hi All,

Excerpt from Watchdog article-

Already suffering financially from the costs to repair the broken conduit on her premises, Ms. Speaker was unable to afford the renovation project Inspector Martin ordered. The NHPI placed Betty in contact with the Neighborhood Development Alliance and she applied for a grant for the improvement expenses. While the appropriations are still currently pending, Ms. Speaker’s problems have continued to multiply. Fines began amassing from the NHPI for excessive consumption of inspection services and soon the exterior of Betty’s home was only a part of the problem.

When Ms. Speaker applied for the grant she was requested to invite NHPI inspectors inside her home for evaluation. On November 2nd, 2004, new orders from Inspector Martin detailed additional maintenance would now be required on the interior of her home, cataloging possible fire hazards from Ms. Speaker’s personal belongings taking up too much space, recently installed linoleum tiling in the kitchen that was not up to city building codes, and that an upstairs area was not suitable for a living environment without a proper fire exit.

Bob- This is the beginning of the end for Betty. She should have never allowed these jackals in her home.
How many of you have a old house? You could be dragged down this road of not being able to pay for the overwhelming code compliance write ups, that eventually deprive you of your home. And they have the gaul to direct Betty to one of their hand chosen non-profits for help! I bet this non-profit was real sympathetic to Betty. Took their lousy time to help her even though she was under this assault from code enforcement. This non-profit drags it's feet to help Betty and who does it benefit?

The agency Betty was sent to by the city eventually turned her down for help. That's what they do, they send you to some bogus agency that has so many requiremnets that no one passes muster and gets help, but that allows the agency who did the dirty work to have a clean conience because they tried to help with a shallow dis-ingenuous offer. Put plainly, it's a "feel good fuckin" from the city.....no one has to feel bad that she lost her home.

Did (does) the WatchDog ever interview neighbors or other people. institutions, associated with the issue?

And why repost this story again now?

What about her responsibility to her neighborhs to maintain a somewhat clean yard and house?

To address 12:39, I joined the Watchdog News over the 14 Jessamine condemnation and demolish issue. You asked if the Watchdog ever spoke with the neighbors, "THE NEIGHBORS ARE RESPONSIBILE FOR INFORMING US OF THE ILLEGAL ENTRY AND THEFT OCCURING AT THIS ADDRESS by the Construction worker and Magner of code enforcement. THE NEIGHBORS WERE WATCHING THE HOUSE FOR US!:-)

And the reason for posting it again is because this is still an unresolved issue. The pain and misery for Betty Speaker is not over.

I am burning my lunch, I'll let others way in.

I wanted the story posted. This was the most hateful thing I've ever read in my life and I wanted it because others who may come here and read may have never read this story. I am full of wonder as to why you even care that the story was re-printed. I don't care what her yard looked like, and I don't trust your report of it for that matter, that doesn't excuse the nasty-terror treatment expended toward her by the totally out-of-control Magner and others. I'm quite fond of older ladies and they deserve our respect. They don't deserve some hyhena's out for blood when some in this regime of vampires have other code deficencies that are much worse. That is what your type does best, isn't it, run to the neighbors for coercion? Are you getting mad? Great! I think Bob should re-post other stories as such, so that they don't get lost in the shuffle. We wouldn't want people to forget or overlook reading these after they've found this site. You hear that Bob, you are pissing someone off, someone that doesn't get a vote here. They are voting for you to stop and I am saying post more, post more! The only way you can stop it is to cut down Bob's cable! I am enjoying this tremendously because if this person had anything better to do, he would be out doing it. Why is this site so important to you? Are you that lonely, won't anyone talk to you? People don't like to hear whining! Take that as some advice.

Hi All,

I see Betty Speaker laying in that hospital bed with that "Order to Vacate" laying on her chest and I get steamed!

I get steamed when I read the stories in the racketeering law suits!

And I get steamed over the consistent attacks from people who for various reasons seem to want to defend the indefensible.

I'm not going anywhere! And I will keep posting these stories that others don't want people to hear!

I get steamed when nobody asks about her grown children, living at home, not working, not helping maintain the house until the last second, selling drugs?

Does that steam you too?

I think that's an urban legend.

3:20- I'd like to see the convictions.

Thats the problem with this stuff. To may people make assuptions based on their personal predijiduce. The the City acts on hearsay. Thats why the average Joe neighbor maybe part of these law suits in the future. You may as well post your name now 3:20.. I'm sure we will be talking about you here in the future only we will be addressing you as a defendant.
