No Nannies in Fargo!

My beautiful grand children expressing their freedoms in Fargo North Dakota.

What are you cursing me for Ralph? I've done nothing about this issue except post the studies. I don't care, my kids have a couple of great parents.

North Dakota had banned candy cigs back in the 1950's and then is was lifted years later.

Democrats are not idiots Ralph. We are flying high in the opinion polls of the American people over the Republicans. Democrats don't just will themselves into office, a majority of the people have to vote for them. If a majority of voters are voting for them, then that puts you on the minority opinion. Your opinion is not what real Americans are feeling.

As far as Fargo goes, I'm there for work a lot. Next time your there Bob, drop me and email, and if I'm in town, I'll meet you at my favorite Irish pub and bring a copy of the most common code violations that can get you fined thousands. Maybe you'll understand that a cracked window, missing or torn window screen, loud music and people, and multiple police calls are not just St Paul's invention. The fine is heavier.

Oh yeah, you eat all the candy cigs you want but you try to light one up in any bar and you'll be tossed out of there too. I guess ol' Ralphie blames St Paul's council for that too.

Media slanted?
What's the number one radio show?
Rush Limbaugh

What's the number one news network?
Fox News Network.

What's the number one newspaper?
More people read the New York Daily News and Wall Street Journal than the LA Times, New York Times and Washington Post combined. Those two papers are owned by the same people who own FOX NEWS Network.

So, the right wing media seems to dominate the ink and airwaves. Still not convinced?

Here's an excerpt from Bush's Press Secretary Scott McClellen's book "What Happened". He talks about how the Republicans manipulated the media:
-
-
-
"If anything, the national press corps was probably too deferential to the White House and to the administration in regard to the most important decision facing the nation during my years in Washington, the choice over whether to go to war in Iraq. The collapse of the administration's rationales for war, which became apparent months after our invasion, should never have come as such a surprise...In this case, the 'liberal media' didn't live up to its reputation. If it had, the country would have been better served...

"Through it all (referring to the prewar period), the media would serve as complicit enablers. Their primary focus would be on covering the campaign to sell the war, rather than aggressively questioning the rationale for war or pursuing the truth behind it...The public should have been made much more aware, before the fact, of the uncertainties, doubts, and caveats that underlay the intelligence about the regime of Saddam Hussein. The administration did little to convey those nuances to the people, the press should have picked up the slack but largely failed to do so, because their focus was elsewhere - on covering the march to war, instead of the necessity of war."
-
-
-
I just gave you some stats and direct quotes from the horses mouth.

Hatred is not surprising from you but, voting against something instead of for something is going to keep you in small numbers and angry.

I'm very proud my grand daughters live in a place they have freedom of choice.

I do not smoke cigarettes. Never have in spite of the fact my parents did. I enjoyed candy cigarettes as a kid. I had the freedom to make this choice without some government official making it for me.

It is sicking politicians jump on these moral band wagons to win miniscuel votes. It seems every election brings us citizens more restrictions to our freedoms.

I actually don't think that a ban on candy cigarettes would hold up in court if someone took it on.

What they are selling is sugar, not tobacco.

I do think it surprising that the manufacturers haven't been successfully sued as being a contributor to someones addiction.

That is a case that might make them get rid of them themselves.

And, Bob I think it is sickening that want to be politicians are always saying what motivates politicians is a desire to win "minuscule votes."

Having worked with politicians who have taken on strong political lobbies and taken the lead on controversial issues, I can tell you that the true risk takers take action and let the chips fall where they may.

Being a leader isn't always popular.

His book was a best seller. I didn't buy it. A lot of people did. He was on every single cable talk show. He has not been proven a liar.

Don't be as intellectually lazy as your spelling would indicate, the biased media has been proven false over and over.

Republicans have been crying about the media bias since Nixon while at the same time buying as much of it up as possible.

Bunch of crybabies who sit around hoping for disaster (like high inflation or terrorist attacks) so that they can win elections on peoples fears- instead of hopes.

30 years of Republican policies took this country down the drain, militarily, morally, and economically. Listen close, its not media bias, your agenda is not good for America.

Now sit back and let the adults fix your mess.

And Eric's agenda, including predatory code enforcement, will bring the country back, huh?

2:47 PM

Its the agenda of the citizens, only the bad landlords are against. On the wrong side again.

To answer your question about code enforcement bringing the country back- yes. It will certainly help if landlords are forced to keep their rental property up. Neighborhood values remain steady and people reinvest.

Code enforcement is about the same in urban, suburban and rural areas. St Paul happens to have a pretty laxed system. It's much tougher in the burbs and other cities.

So stop crying and clean your property up.

"To answer your question about code enforcement bringing the country back- yes. It will certainly help if landlords are forced to keep their rental property up."

But we're not talking about keeping properties up you moron. We're talking about an city agenda that sends inspectors out to lie about vioaltions serious enough to condemn places and throw the tenants into the streets in an attempt to move them on to somewhere else because of behavior issues that the city refuses to deal with in a legal way. Got it?

Ralph,
You don't have to convince me things are better. I know they are. Its your friends on here that think its getting worse and worse and the end is near.

Next, I don't sit on the sidelines for anything. I'm involved in more things than you know. You are the one sitting on the sidelines praying for doom and gloom so you can say you were right.

I hope the spending makes Bush looks like a girl scout. You're kind of a dumb person if you think there is another industry that can jump start this economy on its own. Everything Obama is doing, is exactly what he said he would do on the campaign trail. The only difference is that he has been pretty close Bush on the wars and the security powers.

The American people knew what they were getting. Everything he said he would do, he is working on doing. The country has left people like you behind.

Hating is not proper trait to brag about. You seem to be a pretty low-brow person so if I'm opposite of you, I'm doing pretty good.

It looks like its going to be a pretty nice day. Why don't you go and piss on some tulips?

Eric why lie to people by saying that you care about anything or anybody besides the DFL Party?
There are 200,00 homes messed up with poison 1.51 formaldehyde soaked insulation, did you do anything to help their families?
People may have screwed me ( Bill Dahn ) but how about all the black, Indian, Hmong, Mexican, or white families that lived in some of those homes?
You and Chuck come on this blog and stick up for the bad doings by some of the DFL members or companies they run or sponsor.
What do you think about someone that breaks the law thinking he or she can have a T V Show about being phonies as Judge Jesse Show?
This is all coming out again about Jesse bribing Susan Gaertner by giving boy friend John Wodele a job, and she thinks she will run on the DFL ticket for Governor.
We are ready to show how dity Jesse Ventura is and bring down how even Hatch covered up for Jesse.

Lets all bring out all the trash we can about St.Paul DFL Government and how they control code enforcement in this city.

Bill take your medication and put your helmet on before coming online. I don't lie on here, I don't have to. I defend myself on here.

You and your supporters on here Mr Mayoral candidate come on here and lie and challenge me and Chuck. The very first word at the top of all of these comments, happen to be my name.

You sit around with the likes of Ralph like you're so helpless, you're not helpless you're just lazy as hell.

One week you're on here fantasizing about the over-throw of the DFL and the next week you talking about the only politicians that have ever helped you were the Democrats. For the 100th time call the Republican at 651-222-0022 and let us know how many over there will be working themselves over to help you out. In over three years, you've still received nothing from them.

Back to the lies you tell. You are in this situation because you tried to game the system by taking something for free, accepting a bribe and conspiring to fraud the voters. If you were stable, your ass would be in jail.

Also, your claim of 200,000 homes infected is just not the case. There are not 200,000 homes in Ramsey County. You've got every single home in Ramsey County affected, plus some. One house had a problem and it was a problem that was evident before the insulation.

One last thing, you're not a whistle blower. There is a legal definition that you don't come close to meeting. If what you tell us is true about Ventura, then you are the opposite. You are a co-conspirator with public officials against the People. Trying to expose your conspiracy because it didn't work out for you after-wards, is just being sour snitch. A pretty bad one since the only criminal element in your story is you.

Thank you Eric for being a slanderer, you and your co-chumps and your slandering friend on the DFL Party will be feeling the truth in this election.

You are trying to tell people that I'm off base in some ways to discredit me in this St.Paul's Mayoral Race.

Then You said that I said!

Also, I'm claim of 200,000 homes infected.

You Said
There are not 200,000 homes in Ramsey County you said.

You are saying I said that all the 200,000 home were in Ramsey county, these homes are thru-out Minnesota. You like twisting words to make your self feel like a man.

Does St.Paul always treat the under dog people like they are shit on your shoes ?
Remember that I spoke out about the Drunken DFL Senator Jim Metzen caught driving home from the MN. State Capital after session ended.
His sister in-law sit on the MN. State Commitment Panel.
I do not fear retaliation for pointing the finger at scum that break the law and take advantage of the disabled people like they do.

Bill Dahn

11:48 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Bill you broke the law. You took money and had Ventura pay your filing fees to have you help fix the election. Jesse couldn't have done it without your help.

Metzen went through the system and paid for it, including having his mugshot on the front pages of the papers across the state. That wouldn't happen to a regular joe. A regular Joe would have to kill someone while drunk of get pulled over for the seventh time for that to happen.

So now its 200,000 homes in the state? Ramsey Action Programs, set up for assistance in Ramsey County, has provided formaldehyde insulation to one out of eight households in the state?

Wrong again Bill. Please try to adjust your numbers again. Maybe its 200,000 in the whole country.

Eric

"OH Eric" lying again and again
FIRST of all, I never received money from anyone
it was Ramsey Action Program -aka - RAP, told Dean Barkley about the 200'000 other homes in Minnesota did with the same insulation.

Now you are calling me a criminal for fighting dirty St.Paul Government, I had to get into the 1998 governors race to save my self from dirty City government tactics.
I have proof and facts of all shit pulled about this bad insulation that MN. State Senator Sandy Pappas aide "Anne Cook Thunderhawk" had it tested at MAXIM Testing -- 1.51 PPM formaldehyde on April 30, 1997
Daniel Olson sign it.
.
Hey everyone out there "Eric" had a copy of all my paper work I received over the years of correspondence from many people from DOE in Washington DC., Paul Wellstone's office, MN. State Council on Disability April 30,1998, then Dean Barkley got a bid to do the gut and re do the interior dated October 20, 1998.
and so many more that will be accessible to all to read and listen to all the recordings left by all these agencies I had to beg to.
You and many DFL'ers know the truth about this and you are trying so hard to save face for treating some one as they did me.
But that was then and this is now.
I fear nothing anymore from dirt bag scum that run this city, we have poof and that talks louder then you lies.
Throw all the dirt you wish to, and that will give us a chance to show the real truth and make the city council and Chris Coleman had knowledge about the truth.

Bill Dahn will be the next St.Paul Mayor.

No Eric I'm sitting on the sidelines and understand the economy.I can see Obama running it into the ground-I run a 15 million dollar a year business and know alittle bit about money.have you ever run a successful business.Seems like you jump from one job to another.I've at the same business for 35 years.I've road the ups and downs of the economy kid.I want low taxes and less government. So which ever party can give me that I'm game.

Name one thing the government runs really well.Better then any private business. They don't.You give a section of the government 2 millions as a budget they'll spend it all and then ask for more the next year.Priavet business sets its budget based on what it will bring in.

i don't even know why I'm telling you this, its probaly over your head.Oh and by the way I love tulips. My favorite flower.

FBI
Marine Corps

GI Bill
etc.

That's not your point I'm sure.

I actually work in the same industry I've been in for over ten years. I don't jump around from
job to job. I work for myself (communications and operations consultant) and to do so, I sign on clients. Like a lawyer, psychologist or accountant. When the project is over, I move on to another. I have done well over the years, I'm much younger than you and am not on track to make 15 million a year. I am running a multi-million dollar project in another state right now. Which brings me here:

You really expect me to believe that you run a 15 million dollar operation and have no use for government? You sure you aren't protected by regulations? You sure you are given tax breaks for certain actions?

Exactly what do you do that the government does absolutely nothing but get in your way? The only two I can think of is sell Mortgage Backed Securities or crack. One destroyed the economy and crashed a few investment institutions, the other destroys low income neighborhoods and set a whole generation back.

From your demonstration of knowledge of basic local government operations and English, not to mention some of your previous statements on taxes and budgeting- I'm thinking its crack. You want the government (police) to get out of your way so that you can make your money?

Ignore the snark and tell us what you think the best way to address the economy would have been?

Alright Ralphie, how about Medicare and Social Security?

What private insurance company has been as reliable as Medicare?

What private savings retirement fund has been as consistent as social security?

What private industry has thrived without the help of the government?

I don't think the government has done everything right or that it will do everything right, that's why I stay involved and somewhat informed.

The difference between the government and private sector is that the government has an ever changing board of directors (the voters) who are constantly changing the managers (the legislative bodies-Congress, legislature, local councils). As time goes on, it evolves with society. The private sector does not and goes away or is swallowed up by a stronger business.

Blue cross blue shield,Health Partners,Medica,United,Aspen and to many more to name.

Eric hello! What have you been smoking?S.S. is bankrupt and or will be pretty soon. The question would be what private company can run a bankrupt retirement and keep on paying out?Wake up Bubs!

Folks can you believe he just ask that question. So Eric what it comes down to is if the government can pay out today and not if the younger folks paying now will get stiffed on what there paying to get tomorrow. Its a lost cause.

-What private industry has thrived without the help of the government?

How about the landlords here?It sounds as if the government wants to get in the way.Microsoft.Google.Valley Fair.Disney World.Walmart.Sams Club.Coca Cola. And so on.And yes these companies may have got a back door deal but their success is not becuase government. That is more proof Government should stay out of private business period. Its either sink or swim my friend.

I've been in North Dakota for the last few days and took a break. I love the title of this post, Bob thinks because he can buy candy cigarettes for the kiddies that spells freedom and represents a better lifestyle.

Bob, North Dakota has a stranglehold on many other things that a bunch of whiners have decided that living in the countryside of Minnesota of a better deal for them. Grass is always greener.

One thing I learned about the apartment rental business is that if some of this evidence, presented by the landlords themselves, was in Fargo, they would lose their ability to decide to who to rent to. In other words, if they compile a list of violations while renting to low income OR minority tenants, a commission will step in and manage the property charging the owner. They will decide whom to rent to and what needs maintenance. You don't like it, you lose your property outright.

Seems like Fargo actually cares about the rights of everyone, including the poor.

Oh yeah, you can buy candy cigs too so, head on up.

Ralph,

Starting with Medicare. All of those for profit managed care entities have one big problem- they make money by denying care. Premiums and costs go up, coverage goes down. How many people are kicked off their health care plan? How many kids and sick individuals cannot afford their prescriptions?

Why is the fasting rising, and the biggest cost on small businesses across the country the cost of health care?

Why is the number one reason for bankruptcy tied to health and medical bills?

Why do the Medical Associations (the doctors) and Chamber of Commerce both agree that universal health care is the only way to go to give people the care they need?

Because the private insurers is a bloated inefficient industry.

In contrast to private insurers Medicare doesn’t have to spend millions on marketing, advertising, and Washington lobbyists.

On top of that, private insurers must generate profits for their shareholders. In 2003, the HMO industry as a whole reported total earnings of $5.5 billion—up 83 percent from $3 million in 2002 , according to Weiss Ratings, a firm that assesses the financial strength of banks and insurance companies.

In 2004 the industry’s profits jumped another 10.7 percent to $11.4 billion, and in the summer of 2005 industry leader WellPoint told investors that it expected its profits to continue to levitate by an average of 15 percent a year for the next five years. That same week Wellpoint announced its plans to boost average premiums by 16.6 percent in 2006.

That's not efficiency. If you run a small business you know everything I said right. The rising cost of healthcare is ridiculous.

Eric

None of those industries have survived without the government support. If that was the case, they wouldn't be part of a billion dollar lobbying culture.

Wal Mart wouldn't be so profitable if they didn't get unique breaks on their Chinese imports. Or that they have more employees on some form of government provided welfare (medicaid, food stamps, WIC) than any other employer in the country.

Google gives credit to lawmakers for CREATING the internet and good public policy. You know that one of President Obama's closest economic advisors is Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google? He's been there with the President since the campaign trail.

I'd say he knows more about the economy- or running a business than you do.

You want more?

I could dismantle that sink or swim crap in an instant with those companies you chose. I'll give you a chance to rethink it.
