I've never seen Thunes place, but this is obviously some city official or someone with political connections, because no one else would get with this type of mess.

The photos were sent to me by a concerned citizen. The person who sent me the photos would like these properties to look as good as the so called "blighted properties" posted previously here at A Democracy.
As to the question of who's property it is, I'm not sure. :-)
That old car was the subject of the complaints back in 2006. I know lets send DSI over to Thune's house with a cop and see if this car is running.
Bucky you should be ashamed of yourself. I see these pictures were taken on 6-6-2008.
Maybe we should send the other council members over to your house Dave and show what a trash house looks like.
That retaining wall looks a little unstable. I think orders should be issued.
I recognize the property. It's Dave Thune's place and I'm appaled that he sit in judgement of Nanc L for trash when his place looks like this. More proof of favroitism and unequal application of the law, but maybe Thune has an appeal under way too so he thinks he can just leave it there for a while.....or maybe he thinks he doesn't have to live under the same rules as the rest of us.
This looks like spring cleaning to me. All of you are making a big deal of nothing.

What you may think is a derelect car\junk collection is, in fact, a fashionable yard display among the double-wide crowd.
Peeling paint? No indeed, that is a faux antique finish that Bucky has cleverly applied to add dramatic appeal to his monument to 19th century urban tenement dwellings.
One must also appreciate the care with which Bucky has concealed the wheels on his house...he's a great neighbor!
BTW, I wonder why there were no shots of Chucky's refrigerator box condo in Bucky's backyard?

To the person that thinks that is one of my properties. You sad ad lone person. My Homes are very neat and clean in the yard and I
have all my repairs done with days.
Not in years. And I would tow that car from my property in 48 houurs. I donot leave traps cover things. And my grass cut everyone 2 to 3 days.

I drove by Thune's tonight and there was nothing behind the Studibaker at all.

Chuck does it really matter when the pictures were taken, fall or spring. The place is a mess and Thune sits in judgement of others on the city council. Thune is not leading by example is he Chuck? The pictures tell a thousand words don’t they Chuck.
It seems Thune’s building permit expired due to no activity in one year. Looks like some unpainted surfaces, junk car, garbage and other code violations. I really feel sorry for Thune’s neighbors. I sure would not like to live next to Thune. Maybe Thune should call up all of his DFL buddies and have a painting party.

I'm not sure when the photos were taken. I think the photos were taken around the 3rd of this month. After I received the photos I waited 5 to 6 days before I posted the pictures to see if Dave would clean up the mess and he hadn't. It's cleaned up now.

Sure it is, Chucky toddled his ass over there to warn Bucky that his mess had been photographed.
It's the same behavior Bucky exhibited in regards to the STAR loan he arranged for himself to refurbish his empty "art studio"...the loan sat unpaid until the newspapers reported that it was years overdue.
Scumbags like Bucky are the reason nuisance laws are necessary.
If there was no way to enforce a minimum standard for cleanliness, they'd just wallow in their own filth and decay until their hovels fall down around their ears.
BTW, if Bucky isn't ashamed to have the exterior of his shack look like a junkyard, can you imagine the shithole that awaits you *inside*?

Is Tim Ciani back at work? Repke I'd get your ass to your shithole and do some so called spring cleaning. I thought I saw a snowblower at the edge of his driveway.Shouldn't that have been put away in storage say around 3-4 months ago. Repke I hope the ricomen and all the folks against these city officials and yourself bury you guys with the same policies you enforce on the general public!

The Studibaker should be shoved up your a** Chuck.Its obvious its not valuable to him when he has lawn equipment leaning on it.I wonder if the car works?I know many landlords who had tenants cars towed do to unoperatable.
Matter of fact.The house on the outside is a public safety concern and we the people should get a search warrent to make sure the inside is safe.Or Chuck should we just bypass the warrent because the courts would give us one anyways?

Some time ago there were photos taken that shoed Thune with large holes in his roof, and in back of the french doors going out to his upper deck were curtains with large water stains on them. It makes my head hurt to wonder what kind of shape the inside of that dump would be in.
I'm working hard for you.I have a surprise coming that is shocking beyond belief.

I also noticed that no complaint against Thune's house have been made to the city yet.
May I suggest that the next time you have evidence and before you publish these photos, that you actually make a complaint to the city, enclose these photos and then follow the steps the city takes. This process would document the special treatment Thune receives from supervisors in DSI and Fire.
As a person very close to DSI, I can tell you that Repke called Dave ASAP when the pictures were published. He even drove over to Thune's house.
Call 266-1900 and make your complaint.
