Global Warming Political Ploy
Please link the title of this topic and read the SCIENTIST statements on global warming.

Clearly, the City is on a course to become the most environmentally-friendly
its ever been, and a clear leader in environmental stewardship.
The Sustainable St. Paul plan isn't simply a nice thing, it's ABSOLUTELY
ESSENTIAL. We really don't have a choice. If environmentally forward-thinking
cities like St. Paul in countries like the U.S. don't make improvements right
now, there won't be much of a world left for future generations to inherit.
Exhibit A being global climate change.
Tomorrow at the Council Meeting, Anne Hunt of the Mayor's office is set to give
an overview of the Coleman Administration's Sustainable St. Paul work for the
next year. For more information:
http://www.ci.stpaul.mn.us/initiatives/sustainable for an overview of the
program.
http://tinyurl.com/erzl7 will link you to a copy of annual priorities.
Kudos to the Coleman administration and the many others that have contributed
to the greening of our city...top

I like clean air. It stinks real bad when the wind is blowing from the
direction of the airport here in Highland once in awhile. I'm sure that isn't
healthy. I don't buy all this global warming stuff.
Dave, Jay, anything we can do about those stinking Jets? I don't think more
trees will help.
The Truth Behind "Global Warming" Hysteria
By Bill Steigerwald

Global warming is always a hot topic in liberal media circles, where the
political and scientific consensus is that global climate change is
occurring, it is a danger, it is caused by mankind and we need to start doing
something serious about reversing it.
For a little balance, we called up Fred Singer, aka "the godfather of global
warming denial." An expert on global climate change and a pioneer in the
development of rocket and satellite technology, he holds a Ph.D. in physics
from Princeton and happens to be the guy who devised the basic instrument for
measuring stratospheric ozone. Now president of the Science & Environmental
Policy Project research group (sepp.org), his dozen books include "Hot Talk,
Cold Science: Global Warming's Unfinished Debate." I talked to him by telephone
from his offices in Arlington, Va.:

I leave the science to the scientists, and EVERY peer-reviewed study
(hundreds over the last few years) agrees global warming is real and caused
by humans in significant part.
Otherwise, I would suggest none of the other fair-minded folks here dignify
Bob's line of reasoning with further response.

Bob J>I think "Scientist" is the key word here. I encourage others to read what
the "SCIENTIST" has to say in the link I provided in my post above. This
golbal warming issue is a political ploy.

Bob J> Aren't you in a gray area with this statement? Clearly an attempt to
marginalize my opinion. An opinion derived from reading reports and documents
from "scientist".
This thread is worthy of a trip to my blog!

STOPPIT Bob, jeesh... your going to make all those elitis at "St. Paul Issues and Forums" wish they hadn't gone to college and had the common sense dumbed out of them.
These SPIF'ers are very sick people. They turn up their nose and deny what is right in front of them, and then try to con everyone with the "scientist" BS every time they want to advance their "enviornmental" issues, but they don't seem to realize one thing....most people are on to them. The people that have followed this subject know that most scientists do not support this theory. To say that we need to live in this flower garden paradise is just a con. I would like to write more, but have to go pick up my kids in my SUV.
these claims of global warming are just alegations, that's all, just alegations. These elites are so big on wanting all the facts, show me the facts, not your lies and misrepresentations and deceptions.
And to think Bob Spaulding is a high ranking member of SPIF with statements to Bob Johnson like>
Otherwise, I would suggest none of the other fair-minded folks here dignify
Bob's line of reasoning with further response.
Anonymous- In other words, Bob Spaulding would like everyone to believe in him and his peer group instead of Bob's opinion based on scientific evidence. And he suggest nobody respond to Bobs post at "St. Paul Issues and Forums" DO YOU PEOPLE SEE THE HYPOCRACY HERE?
SPIF actually claims to be a public forum and yet Mr. Spaulding a high ranking volunteer of the forum comes out with statements like this.
No wonder this blog is vibrantly active and that forum is DRY!
I see what people are complaining about at that forum.
How bout that I expressed my opinion and I am anonymous. I don't think my statements weigh less.
Can't you all see, this is part of making the City BEAUTIFUL on the outside and dirty rotten stinkin on the inside.
Pay for trees and flowers and make clean water and how much will it cost us tax payers to fund, then maintain? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.00
I don't post here, but enjoy reading it more than ST. Paul Issues Forum because I know that people can say what they want without being censored like they are at the other place. I'm glad i found you.
These democrats read this stuff and find it popular to embrace mother earth and collect votes from uninformed people. Fear mongering.
It don't feel like global warming out there this morning!
I know why they don't want you passing out invitations to "Saint Paul Issues and Forums" Bob, their afraid if they get more blue collar professionals like you they will look even dumber. :-) No, really the truth prevails and they aren't interested in the truth. They are interested in a leftest indoctrination.
Global warning (warming), started in Genesis. "Cursed is the ground because of you" {Gen 3:17}. This planet has been doomed from the beginning.
Our air has never been cleaner with all the restrictions in the past 30 years.
Restrictions that are pushed for the auto industry and utilities, etc will devestate the poor who cannot afford to pay the prices to upgrade everything they own to enviornmental friendly products. It will crush the small business owner and make the large businesses richer than ever.
We need to breathe, drive our cars to work and heat our homes. Let's put humans before the earth. The sun now has spots that are shooting straight up and it is also heating up and who wants to try and control the sun?
The liberals should like that, the sun controlling our environment.
control, control.
I applaud our president for not signing the Kyoto Treaty. Who wants to give more power to the U.N. There is nothing we can do about global warming. If you think there is, you'd have better luck to build a tower of babel.
"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken." – Luke 21:25 (speaking of the end times)
Now what were these scientist saying?
Thanks for letting me share my favorite book with you.
To 9:29- I believe the SCIENTIST were saying what you just stated.
The sun controls the earths atmosphere.
I'll add my 2 cents to this thread. The Lord controls the sun. Since he is the maker of heaven and earth.:-)
There is more to this than trees! it's the whole leftest theory of "THE TRAIN"!
This is the package- LRT, Green Spaces, bicycle paths, clean air and love mother earth. GOLBAL WARMING fear mongering into the mix.
I for one like my gas guzzling Lincoln. And I don't go for separating all my trash. And I love Mother Earth.
The earth is a big rock that God created. No mom involved. Educate is the thing here not name calling. People need wake up to see the truth of global warming. No concessions can be made that will interfer from the destiny of the earth.
Clean air is good , but I like the smell of gasoline too.
