SHARON ANDERSON NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE ON BALLOT CLAIMS CYNTHIA SCHANNO

Saint Paul, Minnesota (October 28th, 2011)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

In a stunning development, Ward 2 candidate for St. Paul City Council Cynthia Schanno today claimed that fellow (and perennial) candidate Sharon Anderson does not actually live in Ward 2 and is consequently not eligible to be on next month's ballot.

"It's an open secret that the address Anderson used when filing for this race is not where, in fact, she lives," said Schanno. "In reality, Anderson lives on the east side of St. Paul and not in Ward 2. I'm disappointed that the integrity of this election has been called into question by such flagrant dishonesty."

When challenged to back up her assertion given the seriousness of the charge, Schanno responded that the address Anderson used was the house she lost in foreclosure some time ago. "She simply doesn't live where she claims," Schanno stated, adding "there is a video online of her admitting that she lives on the east side of St. Paul, relatively far from Ward 2."

The video Schanno referred to can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgDuL6Vf6Rw

While noting that the video was taken and posted by Anderson herself in 2009, Schanno said that her campaign had no information that the east side address was no longer Anderson's residence.

Upping the ante, Schanno alleged that incumbent Dave Thune knows Anderson is not eligible to be on the ballot but has said and done nothing because the situation benefits him. "Thune is not known for his integrity," said Schanno, "and it begs disbelief to think that he doesn't know the true state of affairs when it comes to the Anderson campaign, which few, if any, people take seriously." Unfortunately, she added, "Anderson can siphon off a few hundred votes when voters mistake her for a more well known woman by the same name."

Asked why she isn't taking legal action to remedy the matter, Schanno explained that state law controls such situations and either a candidate or a concerned individual must mount an actual lawsuit in state district court. "What does it say about electoral integrity in Minnesota when anyone can register--often fraudulently--on election day but obstacles and barriers are put in the way of those who want a clean race, a legitimate ballot?"

Schanno is a first time candidate and successful small business owner in the aviation industry who is stressing job growth and public safety in her attempt to represent Ward 2 on the City Council. To learn more about Cynthia and her message please go to www.VoteSchanno.com

You have to love that the Council member who was most opposed to IRV/RCV which allows both Schanno and Anderson to be on the ballot is blamed for Schanno and Anderson being on the ballot together.

It is just amazing.

Schanno has known since she filed that Anderson filed. If Schanno had ever voted in an election in Saint Paul in the last 20 years she would know who Anderson is... but because Schanno has lived in Saint Paul for less than a year all of this is new to her.

Amazing...

Chuck,
What is amazing is that Anderson has done this before and has never been challenged by democratic incumbencies on the basis of what is right or what is law. And to insinuate that Sharon Anderson, who hasn't been involved in the GOP for years if ever, would have a chance to receive the Ward 2 GOP's endorsement, over Schanno who shares the principles but simply doesn't like the directive party structure, is naive.

The Issue's are the Assessment Ponzi Scheme the Cityis using to "take" without compensation against the Homeowners.
FURTHER: Has Schanno ever attended a Council Meeting

Interesting to check who lives in the 47 Condo's at 256 Spring St/ Schanno is 113 Jill Seeba also lives at 256 Spring apparantly also Treasurer of Community Reporter who has blocked Sharons Web sites, Further is Jill Seeba related to Louise Seeba City Attorney in the LandLords vs. City St.Paul.

You bet Sharon verily alleges that Schanno is the "Ringer" in this City RankVoting Election. Sun Fred Melo reporter will have the Ward 2 Candidates published online.

Please note the Software to check Propertys is Manatron Ramsey County has covertly eliminated the AVS Software to delete who is the Mortgage Holder on Propertys and the past payments.

PS Sharon did not lose her Summit HomeStead via Mortgage Forclosure as Sharon Scarrella Anderson with Tenants in Common had no Mortgage, The City and County arbitrarily took the Homestead Credits, to inflate a False Tax Base to Steal the Property on the Disabled Anderson's Even the Lesbian Judge Kathleen Gearin offered Sharon over $110,ooo to kick the Silver Star Disabled Andersons rendering them HOMELESS.

To clarify Chuckie... Ms. Schanno has worked in Ward 2 for nearly 25 years and she lived in Ward 2 in 1990 and she purchased her home over a years ago. Her grandfather owned Crosby Farm and he delivered milk on 7th Street. She has history here and plenty of it and she know exactly how far things have fallen since Mr. Thune has been representing the Ward 2. Saint Paul would be luck to have her as a representative.

Wrong "Anonymous" (interesting you don't have the integrity to show yourself). Schanno's agenda is Freeze Property Taxes; Reduce Crime; Ambassador for Commercial Growth in Downtown, and Change! Get your facts correct. With Schanno's election, Ward 2 will finally get the facts.

I see Sharon that today in the Pioneer Press these is an article about the five candidates running in Ward 2.

It seems that all of the candidates are featured in the article except YOU!

Here is what the reported from the Pioneer Press said:

"Despite repeated requests, Anderson did not keep to the required lengths and format for the following biographical information requested of all candidates."

Here is the full article for your reading pleasure:

On Monday I am filing an official complaint against your filing in a ward you don't live in. Instead of filing in ward 2 you should have filed in ward 7. Ward 7 is Kathy Lantry who is unapposed and had you filed in ward 7, I bet you would have had about 25 people willing to support your campaign with lit drops, phone calls etc...

This is NUTS.

Jamie,

Anyone who wants can file a complaint against Sharon. Schanno, Hosko, Ivey, Thune, you, me anybody that wants could challenge her on the ballot.

The reason why nobody does is that it isn't worth the expense or the bad press...

From a practical stand point the last thing that any serrious candidate wants to do is to get into a fight with someone who has no money to run for office. Nobody in there right mind gives free press to any candidate that is losing.

If, Sharon was challenged and if someone gave her all of that press and then she said she lived with a friend on Smith Avenue, you, I, Schanno, Thune would lose our challenge. She could just change the address from Summit to Smith.

So, what would be the point?

You live pretty much where you say you live if someone else who lives there says you do.

So, if Sharron wants to say she lives on Summit Avenue, and you don't like it, you spend the money taking her to court. Hell, she won your party's primary for attorney general!!! You should be the guys who control her not the DFL...

And, "Vote Schanno" I said she hadn't voted in a Saint Paul election in 20 years and you say, she lived here in 1990... its 2011... so I was stating a fact. And, the date of closure on her property is a public record, she hasn't lived in the unit a year yet.... a unit that wouldn't exist without the work Thune did when he first took office in 1990..

My response;
Chuck, the bad press only comes from your DFL stooges playing politics over at the Pioneer Press .

Stooges like Fred Melo.

In the past city council races have been won by mere double digit numbers. Sharon illegally running in ward 2 is not only unethical it has the potential of swaying the vote away from viable candidates.

Chuckie: Interesting how you always give Thune credit for just doing his job but you are in denial that during his rein Saint Paul has had a fall from grace. Even you too should want change… oh that’s right you also live off the food train. You guys sure do stick together.
What is your beef with Schanno anyway and why do you care where she lives and not Sharon???? Schanno is a legal candidate, she is a responsible taxpayer, she loves Saint Paul and want to help, and she’s not on the food train looking for a pension. She earned her own. Honest, hardworking, born and raised Saint Paul women who wants to be an ambassador for us all. I say these qualities are just what the voting taxpayers are looking for, at least that’s what I hear. YOU GO GIRL… win this race and kick Thune out once and for all, it is time.

First Bob...

Read what I said again, if someone were to have taken legal action against Sharron, and then she simply claimed to live with a friend on Smith instead of the house on Summit, then whoever took this nice little lady who has lost her house to court would look like a bully... So, you be a bully, I have decided to just be nice to Sharron.

As to it having an impact on the election... Wasn't I the guy that campaigned against IRV? Didn't Thune co-sign a editorial in the P-press against this? Didn't we say this was the problem with the system? Isn't that one of the reasons that the left is not pleased with Thune?

Short memories...

And "Vote Schanno" I can't help it that Schanno bought a condo in a building that never would have been built if it wasn't for Thune... it just happened that way.

That development on Sheppard happened because Thune got the road moved away from the river, over the objection of the Chamber of Commerce. And, the Science Museum was built where the exit ramp to Chestnut would have been if they had their way. And, the River Center and the Wild wouldn't have happened if Thune wasn't the author at the HRA and took the heat for spending money on a sports team... and I could go on and on but you get the point.

Saint Paul had gone to hell in a hand basket in the 60's and 70's the revitalisation of Saint Paul has been happening in the last 20 years... while Ms Schanno was out in Mendota...

Chuck, It isn't hard to prove where Sharon rest her head at night.

I am not bullying Sharon Chuck. I am interested in an honest election process. You aren't! IF, you thought Sharon running for ward 2 would hurt Dave you'd be all over this issue.

In a country were it is suppose to be a big deal that everyone's vote counts, it is a shame that anyone who votes for Sharon is a wasted vote because Sharon is an illegal candidate for ward 2 city council.
It's a shame a stooge in the main stream media is playing politics.

Chuck are you managing Dave's campaign? I looked at the campaign finance report and I see your address on it.

1:38 PM

NO I am not running Dave's campaign my wife has been his treasurer for years.

In the past Anderson would have been wiped out in the primary and would cause no mischief in a general election. No person in the City of Saint Paul faught harder against IRV than me Bob. And no politician took more of a political risk to oppose it than Dave Thune.

That is the truth. If you paid any attention you would know it. To blame me or Thune for her being on the ballot is insane.

Schanno, and the GOP could have made a challenge anytime. It isn't my fault they didn't.

WE fought the fight I spent an entire summer going to meeting after meeting preaching against this farce. I said these very things would happen in 2009. The GOP sat on its hands. Thune stopped the DFL from endorsing it... and I took Fairvote to court for cheating in the election.

I have made my point concerning Sharon running in ward 2. I have nothing further to say about that issue, As far as IRV goes.

My advice to voters is--->

Cast one vote for the candidate of your choice only.

9:27 PM

Chuck,

When you took Fairvote to court, what was the outcome?

5:08 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

We won the case. It was determined that they had knowingly distributed 40,000 pieces of false information. The testimony of their executive director claiming that she didn't know that they couldn't claim the endorsement of the DFL, the LWV, the President of the United State's and John McCain without their permission was called "not credible" and they were fined the max $5,000. The panel determined that they could tell from the information presented if 40,000 piece of literature impacted 500 votes... what we lost by.

So, they lied, paid the fine and won the election.
