I didn't see anything wrong with the way this cop handled this situation.

Here is a video that the Canton, Ohio, police department might use to train its officers in handling legally armed citizens. Like Canton's Daniel Harless, Matthew J. Lyons, an Oceanside, California, police officer, is a former Marine, but the similarity seems to end there. Judging from this video, in fact, Lyons is the Anti-Harless.

No the driver is one of those boobs who some day is going to find himself shot to death for being stupid.

The point of this u-tube is to try to repeal the law requiring permit holders to tell cops that they are carrying a gun!!! Because they agree with you that the cop shouldn't have been so mean.

Do you know why the cop went off on him???? Because he knows that if dimwit would have kept his mouth shut 2 minutes longer, he might have shot him if the first time the cop saw the gun was when dimwit went to scratch his ass and the cop thought he was going for the gun. That is why the cop is so ticked.

He was inside the car with an idiot who had a gun and if he would have made a move for it while the cop was feeling trapped, no doubt he would have blown the back of the head off of dimwit.

So, now the "conceal carry" crowd want to not have to tell cops when they are pulled over. That will work real good. Lets just see how many of them get there ass blown away when the cop first sees the bulge in his pants while his hand is moving down to scracth himself...

Stupid person with hand gun, driving around a hooker and her pimp gets pulled over by the cops and we are supposed to feel bad for him???

You're kidding me...

Harless is the kind of cop who gives good cops a bad name.

A good example of a professional police officer linked in this thread is Matthew J. Lyons, of the Oceanside, California police department.

I know what Harless's problem is, he is frothing with fear! Thus the reason for his demeanor in the video.

Also as shown in the video, Harless didn't follow police procedure for this traffic stop.
Police do not search vehicles with occupants in the car.

Harless's approach to policing serves a police state well, teaching citizens to fear and not trust in government.

This would be a great example of apples and oranges...

There is nothing in common between a state like California where someone is allowed to openly carry a side arm and a state that allows a concealed weapon.

The cop in the second video KNOWS he is approaching someone with a weapon. He SEES it. He is approaching this person with the intent of discussing it with him and has his eyes on the weapon all of the way. He is attempting to talk to the person as he walks up to him to get a sense of his manner. He asks about the weapon because he SEES the weapon. He does a great job of being able to get close to him and get control of the weapon.

In the first video the FIRST thing that occurs is that the DRIVER of the car commits a FELONY by not immediately informing the officer that he has a weapon. I don't care that the cop tells him to shut up... to F'ing bad. The law requires him to inform the officer at first contact. So, when the cop approaches, it is his responsibility as a permit holder to yell out the window if he has to - I HAVE A CONCEAL CARRY PERMIT AND WEAPON. That is the law in that state.

None of the rest of the shit happens if dimwit who will someday be blown away for being stupid while carrying a handgun, opens up his mouth and follows the law.

What we have in the videos is one person committing a felony and being yelled at by an officer who believes not that the guy is "bad" but just amazingly stupid and is hoping that by screaming at him he may save his life. In the other video we have someone following the law being questioned by a police officer and then let go.

Why would one think that those two things would look anywhere near alike?

Just for discussion, this was my argument when the conceal carry debate was going on. I have NO PROBLEM with anyone who wants to carry a side arm having it visible.

I believe you have a right to have a weapon and for safety sake I should be able to see it.

I do not believe that you have a constitutional right to hide the gun from site.

The law may allow it and it does now, and I have no great desire to fight about it, but I think we would all be safer if you just had your guns out in the open.

I can see why Chuck would have concern about people carrying a gun concealed. He doesn't feel as threatened when the gun is out in the open because then when he saw a guy with a gun he wouldn't be talking the stupid shit he does here cause in his little mind he would be afraid of being shot.

11:26 Thank you!!!

You actually get my point. I sure as shit ain't going to be talking no crap to some guy that was packing heat in the bar and I could see the damn gun!

That is the point. I am not that stupid. I would like to know what I am facing.

As would any cop.

Hay Chuck
When there is no cameras like at Bill Dahn's house at 256 W. Morton St in Ward 2 in St.Paul, the St.Paul Police would kick in My back door and rush in and toss me to the floor and one or two of them would put their pistol to my head and some times cuff me and other time they were just showing Me their authority.
In 2003 I seen Sargent Art Guerrero of St.Paul's Police that was the first and He told me that He had to do as He was told.
Then I seen Art at a food give away on the E Side We were both volunteering and he told Me to get a ALWAYS CHEAT THE PHILOSOPHY OF JESSE VENTURA Book out of my car, He wanted to show people there how important Bill Dahn really is!
We all know that "cops" can do as they please in our homes with No Cameras around and without any paper work saying to arrest ME, this was all the levels of government trying to shut the mouths of one that makes complaints about any matter, Mine was Ramsey Action Programs FREE To The Poor Insulation soaked with 15 times over the limit of Formaldehyde it was at >> 1.51 PPM.
I am a Candidate for Minnesota Attorney General in 2014, this time I will win by being for the people like I am and not like some Kiss Ass like Skip and the others like MIKE HATCH that helped cover the Bribe that occurred at My home by Jesse and Dean Barkley on July 19, 1998.
Then Jesse used DFL Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner to Cover Up The BRIBE.
