That was freaking hilarious.

It is amazing. They want to re-fight the civil war. And as we have seen in Rand Paul, a part of it is because they are racist bastards.

Nullification... nullification???

Other than the original 13 colonies and Texas every pebble of land in this country was bought or captured by the US government from a foreign government. NONE of the other states could in their wildest dreams claim that they ever had sovereignty ever.... and the 13 states that signed the constitution created one state, the United States.

But these wack jobs re-write in their heads rights that have never existed.

Please someone find me the "property rights" clause of the constitution.

We the people are sovereign over all of the land. Every grain of sand is a part of this nation.

It is one nation indivisible.

The "pursuit of happiness" is a broadening of John Locke's "Life, Liberty and the Preservation of Property". Also, we are supposed to be "secure in our persons, houses, papers, and effects" in the Fourth Amendment, which pretty clearly implies that property rights do have value in the face of government imperative.

We the people are sovereign over all of the land. Every grain of sand is a part of this nation.

That does NOT mean that the nation trumps private property right without due process. Try reading the Tenth Amendment.

I realize that if any of you knew history, you'd be Republicas and there'd be no debate - but please.

No my friend Mitch.

Try the Fifth Amendment instead ...

....nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

"TAKEN for Public Use"

Sovereignty is in the state. The land is the state's. All of the land first belonged to the King and was given in land grants or the Federal Government and sold in land grants.

It was bought and paid for by the Federal Government and you use it with understanding that the people can take it back with Just compensation.

The Free Market Capitalist have done everything they can to destroy the public understanding that this land is truly their land and that the elite land barons that now control the media and rewrite history have no facts to stand on.

Locke was never able to "own" any real property in the British Isles, Mitch. He wouldn't even understand your concept of property rights. You guys just make up history as you go along.

That is why the 5th amendment talks about just compensation. Because for Locke the King or Parliament could take his land with the stroke of the pen.
