I would like to thank City Council member Pat Harris and Mayor Chis Coleman for working to save my job and other Ford employees.

I would like to thank Sen.Ellen Anderson for her jobs bill. For thinking about the Ford Employees and the City of St.Paul.

I would like to thank
the governor Tim Pawlenty for signing the bill into law. I still think that is good start in keeping Ford here in the city of St.Paul.

I think that the Federal Government needs to help out too. Senator Amy Klobucher and Senator Al Franken . Reps. Betty McCollum, Reps John Kline and Reps Keith Ellison. Needs to talk to Ford about what other needs they have to keep the plant here.

Little background on the plant is over 90 years old, The machines are over 25 to 30 years old.
It would cost about 1 billion to clean up the site. And the City and State will lose more than 90 millions dollars in taxes. Beside other business nearby will close additional taxes loss of one to two millions in loss of taxes. Plus another 750 unemployed employees, loss of more tax dollars.

Southern state have got federal aid to get job there. mainly auto companies. And to keep them.

That's why I feel that my U.S. Senators and U.S. Reps need to talk to Ford to keep the plant here.

As homeowner I see that Ford if closed their plant here in the Twin Cities, my taxes will go up by
1100 % Then I will be force to move from St.Paul to some place else.

Thank You,
Les Lucht
