What is really a travesty is that we have such a crooked organization and that no one has been yet prosecuted.
driving a mercedes around that you confiscated could have been sold before your friend crashed it. That car was taxpayers property and any sale or damage to it was on our backs. No wonder Sheriff Stanek tried to cut their budget.
the seized property and cash was treated like it was their own play toys and personal stash.
I wouldn't be so sure that all of the arrests are over. They are still investigating the deputies who were shredding evidence in the dead of night the day the investigation was announced.
The documents that were shredded were work documents. The cops wanted to clean out their desk and get rid of confidentual information. Protecting sources is important.
I happen to know what is going on and the Hennepin Sheriffs Office is not looking any better. Rich Stannek has been a POS for a long time and the game he played are really something.

It should be handled just like any crime, you do the crime you do the time. As with most criminals and their behavior, they get sloppy then greed takes over and eventually they get caught.
It'll be "handled" all right.......but I wonder if people are going to like the way it gets handled.
these people who come around making excuses for the employees and the Sheriff himself need to just give up.
Every month there is a new scandal that is connected to Bob Fletcher's Sheriff's Office. His top deputies get arrested- he acts like they were doing their job and keeps them on payroll, until the FBI proved they weren't and a judge convicted his BEST friend and another good friend. THrough the whole trial these kiss-assers come on here and blame Finney or cry set up.
This whole task farce was a private nazi team. They took things they didn't have a right a to, purposely kept bad and confusing records, Kept or sold expensive property to friends for almost nothing (nice cars for $300 plus tabs, large flat screens for $50) and they keep confiscated cash on hand, almost a half million dollars.
It stinks. We already know that several people went to get their cars because they were not drug dealers only to find them "sold".
Since Finney is old news, it appears they are going to start blaming the Hennepin County Sheriff for busting them.
He's doing his job, too bad the one over here will not.
6:26 PM this is not about Sheriff Fletcher. It is about Ron Ryan and his task force that is under attack by his arch rival, Rich Stannek. Stannek took away funding for this gang task force and it had to be funded somehow. This gang task force has took thugs off the street and put them in jail.
Bill Finney allowed his drug dealing friends to walk. He even gave them Get Out Of Jail Free letters. Finney covered for them in everyway possible.
I like your comment that every month there is something new, well with Finney down at HQ there was something going on daily. Finney wants to be sheriff and he will do everything in his power to see to it that Fletcher is made to look bad. The difference is Finney has blood on his hands and Fletcher doesn't.

There it is, I don't know who called it but, mention Fletcher's name and the same ol shit about Finney is rolled out.
What has this gang task force to do with Finney?
According to the records, its been ran by Ramsey County Deputy (or is it under-Sheriff) Ron Ryan since its inception. Nobody can deny that the record keeping (the clerk was an in-law to Fletcher) was horrible. Even Ryan admits he's no damn accountant. This unit's fiscal agent was the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office so, Bob Fletcher is relevant in the sense that the fiscal health was a responsibility of his office. Again, that's not disputed.
Its just that even when the Sheriff is not directly involved, his close deputies are, that's enough for people to talk. It has nothing to do with Bill Finney. There are others challenging Fletcher for the big job. Focusing on Finney may be a waste of time.

The little hood rats that those crooked cops earn their living off of are getting a first class education, courtesy of the witless taxpayers of Minnesota.
They'll be jumping ship from the Crips and Bloods to join the Strike Force Gang...the money's way better.
