PRESS RELEASE
September 23, 2008
The City of Saint Paul’s Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI) is scheduled to complete the consolidation and relocation of its offices to 375 Jackson St, Suite 220, by October 20, 2008, according to Mark Kaisersatt, DSI Community Liaison.
DSI was created last year by the merger of the Office of License, Inspections and Environmental Protection, (Commerce Building, 8 Fourth St. East) Fire Certificate of Occupancy, (100 11th St. East) and Property Code Enforcement, (1600 White Bear Ave). The new department consolidates the three main inspection functions of the City to streamline procedures and provide a higher level of service. The new combined location will improve communication and reduce costs to the City’s taxpayers.
Commerce Building staff will begin the move the week of October 8th. Fire Certificate of Occupancy and Property Code Enforcement staff will move the week of October 15th. Counter and phone service will remain uninterrupted during the relocation and most phone and fax numbers will be unchanged. Processing of permits, applications, etc. may be slightly delayed as computer service is transitioned.
Free parking for customers of DSI is available from the 6th Street side of the office at 375 Jackson. Office hours will remain 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
higher level of service.
MORE incompetent! MORE fascistic! MORE in the bag for the City Council's "pretty city with unicorns" agenda!
Yaaaay!
Better service? Great, maybe they can learn to lie without getting caught and then sued.....that would be a huge savings to the taxpayers considering the number of people litigating with the city lately.
Maybe they could move to Houston
They should probably just go to hell, where they belong.
