Hi my name is Tim, I work, I can't afford an apartment I sleep at a homeless shelter down town most of the time. I also sleep in a make shift shelter under a bridge in ward 2. I work in ward 3 where can I vote. Can I vote? Or am I excluded from voting because I can't afford housing?

I posted the above statement for Tim. I have known Tim for over 30 years.

Stories such as Tims are a shame and the city council members and other officials should be ashamed of themselves for removing the low income housing. How does taking the low income housing solve anything? Instead of solving anything it is making life very difficult for people that are trying to make a life for themselves without relying on the Gov. for assistance. It obviously showed when they accepted applicants for Sec. 8 for a couple of days with the number of people that applied.

Bob, if any of these people you know are really in need of a place and don't mind living ouside of the wonderful city of St.Paul I do have a couple of apartments available that are very reasonable, I also forgive a persons past with an explanation of what changes they have made to correct their behavior so I can see that they are trying to make their life productive not destructive.

Hi my name is .......and i used to own property and rent to people like you until the city of St Paul decided you needed a safer place to live since living with a few torn screens and a small hole or two in the ktichen or bathroon linoleum was such a threat to your safteyand started running your type out of the neighborhoods. I am wondering if I will be able to vote too. Oh well, nice to hear from you Tim and I'm glad to hear that everything is OK and your safer under that there bridge over in Thune's ward. You sound like a nice guy, maybe we could hook up at a"soup kitchen" somewhere and catch up on old times sometime. Perhaps at the Mad Hatter Tea Shop on 7th St. maybe?

If you really want to know, it would be from the downtown homeless shelter. Hell, if Bill Dahn can 'run' for office from there, you can vote from there.
