WANTED: Candidates for
St. Paul E-Democracy Executive Committee

We need you!!!! Please, consider placing your name in nomination.

Two seats are up for election on our nine member Executive Committee.

St. Paul E-Democracy is just over one year old (SPIF is much older).
St. Paul E-Democracy was founded as an organization a little over one
year ago, with the following mission:

"St. Paul E-Democracy strives to inform, engage, and
empower community members in the public life of St. Paul
by building online forums and other tools for public
engagement and by making those resources accessible to
the community. St. Paul E-Democracy seeks to improve the
quality of public policy decision making in St. Paul by
broadening public participation and by linking the
diverse voices of the citizenry to community leaders and
elected officials in a civil and respectful exchange of
information and ideas."

Our first year has been slow, as we struggled to build the
infrastructure for a community based service organization. As we
enter our second year, we hope to build momentum and expand our
presence in the community. We have a growing outreach program based
in the Rondo library, offering one-on-one tutoring and group
workshops designed to provide local residents with computer/internet
skills that can help them become more involved in the community.

With city elections for council and school board this year, St. Paul
E-Democracy has a real role to play in engaging the public in some
very important discussions about the future of our city.

Elections for the two open seats will be held in early April in
conjunction with our annual meeting (exact date and venue to be
announced very soon).

SPED Executive Committee members are elected or appointed to two year
terms. The time commitment of an Executive Committee member looks
something like this:

1) Monthly Executive Committee meetings
(currently 3rd Wednesday of month
at 7:30 AM)

2) Participate on at least one SPED
committee (with meetings)

3) Participate in online discussion
of Executive Committee

4) At least one annual, half day
"strategic planning meeting"
(most likely on a Sat. morn.)

5) Misc. other tasks.....

The Executive Committee is responsible to oversee and provide long
term direction for all the activities of St. Paul E-Democracy.

More info to come in the days ahead.

If you have questions, please contact me at:

Best wishes,

Tim Erickson stated- We need you!!!! Please, consider placing your name in nomination.

*I saved Tim some time and made up the guide lines for the candidate Tim is looking for. :-)

Qualified candidate must be a lefty with strong ties to locally entrenched Democrats.

A willful desire to indoctrinate all who participate in the forum into a leftest point of view to fulfill the Democrats agenda.

At all times be willing to silence any critical oppositions to our friends in local politics.(Censor as a last resort)

Leftest Brown Nosers sought!

Kiss Assers welcome!

Mind Numb Robots have preference!

So, if you have a light oppositional view and can easily be persuaded into Saint Paul Issues and Forums leftest message your welcome.

All others need not apply.

The above message is a damn lie.. This group gets funding under false pretenses.

If they really wanted to include everyone in the community they would have took Bob up on his offer to pass out invitations for E-Democracy. They don't want the average Joe citizen chiming in at their little tea party.

Membership is slow because they want it that way. Indoctrinate "One at a time".

Forget the invitations, they threw Bob out on his ass, They don't want anything to do with Bob or the truth or anything else that has abything to do with meaningful change.

They would let you in Bob and use you for a "patsy" every time they wanted to shaft someone.

Besides, you wouldn't want to be around people the likes of Rick Mon would you? Remember him? The self rightous Realtor who expected us to believe he wouldn't sieze the opportunity to sell Jessamine and make a "fee" because he didn't like the condition it was in? Come to think of it, he never knew what condition it was in cause he just went along with the city was saying about it. He's a typical example of the "no minds" ober at SPIf.....they're enlightened so much over there, they can only relate to themselves.

The St. Paul E-Democracy Forum has morphed into a breading ground for the DFL, Chris Coleman and the Gang of Four (Jay, Kathy, Dave and we should not forget Lee).

What does Tim, Michelle and Rick do when someone they do not like posts, they suspend or kick them off SPIF? Tim, Michelle and Rick say they are not DFL hacks or mouthpieces for the Gang of Four, but their actions speak otherwise. Tim, Rick and Michelle what you do not know is we share some of the same friends as you do and they do talk about your true intentions. You may pretend to say you are fair, but your friends tell a very different story.

Some on SPIF have been given free license to do and say what they want while others are restricted or suspended for bringing up something that is not to their liking.

The SPIF should be a place to identify issues, discuss issues and not be the private news outlet for the DFL machine in the city.

As you people read this you will probably think abck about all the time you knew what to do in a situation, but you didn't for whatever reason, and in the end you wished you had done what your gut told you to do.

People that are smart just walk away from the St Paul Issues forum, because they recognize right away what it is about and the type of people that hang there. Others believe the lies about it being fair and open, or they want to believe, and in the end they wind up with their feelings and time being abused. SPIF doesn't fool anyone, people fool themselves.

I smell a ot of jealousy over here.
I count a lot of posts and even more comments about SPIF yet, on SPIF the archives show ZERO noise about A-Democracy. By the way, that is a strange name for a site that is supposed to be about real democracy. Is your self-esteem so lame that you have to name your site after the one that everyone on here hates so much?

A "lot" of jealousy.

JEALOUS- that is silly..

Nobody can get the news you read here any place else.

The truth behind the RACKETEERING lawsuits.

The truth behind North East Neighborhood Development Company.

The truth behind the death of the Stillwater guard.

The shady relationships of Finney and Fletcher.

The fact Vick was getting his dick sucked by hookers and his transitional house for hookers has drug problems that have come to light through the VOA.

Oh Boy there is so much more news that I couldn't of gotten any place but here.

And you know what? Bob tells us he has a whole lot more news that i and others won't be able to get any place else. Jealous, I think not, this is where it is all coming down!

Bob- you seem to be angry 8:19.I gave a lot of thought in naming this site. The first consideration was search engines. Thus starting with the letter A.

Secondly I was thinking I want to capitalize off of a name that was already in use because this would also generate traffic to the blog.
There is a site run by the Democrat Party named ademocracy.com.. :-)

I am very happy with the success of this "Town Hall Meeting".

I have provided a place where even government officials have found the security of posting anonymously comforting.

Many people who have had something to say and couldn't because of fear of reprisals have posted here.

I think this blog gets quite a bit of traffic and what I base that on is the fact that sometimes I want to make a post on here and cannot because of many different friends emailing me back and forth about things being said here. I know of many who do not post here but read it from work and home every day.

I also like the "anonymous factor." I think people will be more open if they don't have to worry about having their names made public.

A brave Councilman posted here more than once. (Lee Helgen) I don't like the guy but he has guts!

I also happen to know a famous comedian has posted here anonymously.

We have had Europe's World Wrestling Champ post here. He said this was YELLOW JOURNALISM. that's funny!

Deputy Sheriffs, police officers, city officials, political candidates, professors, attorneys, and the average guy post here.

Everyone is welcome and NOBODY is asked to leave for any reason. We have a lot of fun with unruly people. We take them to the "back yard" but they are never asked to leave the property.

I can't say that I am jealous of Saint paul issues and Forums, I have never visited the site until this evening.

A Democracy is RADICAL. This site has become a part of my day. I can hardly wait to see what people here are talking about next.

By the way Bob it has been a few weeks since you opened a can of worms, or should I say woop ass?

Thanks for hosting this very unusal site.

Does Kathy Lantry post comments here?

I doubt Lantry post here. I am sure she reads stuff here. Why wouldn't she people talk about her here all the time?

She gets so many complaints in her office i am suprised she finds the time to do anything!

If we are jealous of E-Democracy then why are we here posting and reading the discussions instead of at E-Democracy? I am still a member at E-Democracy but haven't posted in a few months, I have read a few of the posts which I didn't feel were worth responding to due to the fact that if you don't kiss ass and agree with the majority of spiffers they will just try to degrade you for having a mind of your own.

Here at A Democracy its more like reading the morning paper with a cup of coffee, sharing information amongst real people/friends. And yes there is always the oppertunity to have privileged communication here at A Democracy by remaining anonymous, which can be a safety issue when it comes to some officials and their retaliation practices.

Have a great weekend, get out and enjoy the spring like weather..

I post here because of E-Democracy,
Didn't play fair to anyone that was against the DFL Party.
I called them Dem-O-RATS.
I found out that Michelle Fure, she worked for the
MN. State Correctional Department.
She was using her state computer at work, to respond to all the postings on E-Democracy.
Two Jobs, at one computer.
She had me suspended.
For posting about
Chris "Cold Hearted" Coleman
and the rest of the City Parasites.
Name Calling !
Rick Mons said it was for using the words "Dem - O - RATS.
They all wanted Bob, Sharon, Bill and anybody that spoke the Truth on,
Dave,Chris,Pappas Susan Greatner, Kathy, Finney, and any others that are.
Dem-O-Rats aka Dem-O-Crap aka "DFL'ers"
off their privet site.
Their RULE are used, when some one speaks out.
The mouth that will sass back.

Damn Bill, you're just a bundle of ignorance and a walking billboard of why those people shouldn't be worried about you and your compadres. I hope you're from another country and english is not your first language because you murder it daily.
The rules say no name-calling, you start and finish your posts with name calling. You seem to get mad when the rules are enforced yet, I've seen people who are known DFLers get their butts kicked off that site or suspended.

Maybe of you conservatives learned how to talk to people, you would get a stage instead of talking among yourselves here.

Democrats are smart. They know how to talk to people, you folks talk about people.

Get a clue or not.

are you worried that Bill will talk about you.
when he said about the
Dem o craptic party, who was he referring to.
we see Bill dose what he said, screw up the democratic party.
Bill pisses off people in government office, by bringing out the truth on them.

I think people here are jealous because over at SPIF there is a degree of intelligence that can be seen in some responses, posts, and even in the jokes.

Over here its just a bunch of people bitching about others. Bar talk forum.

SPIF has a lot of citizens (over 1000) and every elected in town reading it and responding.

There is a credibility factor that is missing here. SPIF= Chicago Tribune. A-Democracy=New York Post.

10:00 they do not have a 1000 members. just over 400 and they didn't have that many until the property rights people joined the group.

And as far as elected officials responding there. helgen post here and not at SPIF. Thune is the only elected who post there. I wager more read here than there.

It has been real boring over there lately.

Hi Grace,

For the record I informed Tim Erickson and Rick Mons my desire to run for the executive committee.

My questions concerning the election for this position have gone unanswered.

Further proof of the discriminatory practices of the Saint Paul Issues and Forums blog.

Tim was so kind to inform me I was suspended for Threatening and intimidating behavior.Really he meant to say expelled.Half heartedly admitting it was a miss understanding.

Some people have an embarrassing imagination.

I invite you here Tim and Rick to debate all these issues.

I linked Graces blog under links. "mnblue" This is the first "LIBERAL" blog I linked here, after all we do want this "Town Hall Meeting to represent all opinions.
