Oh great, just great!!
There was voters whose vote didn't count, these were the voters who voted for Sharon.
If you actually were there watching the count like I was you would be surprised where second choices go....
There were 118 people who voted for Sharon first. Some of them didn't have a second choice. A lot had Schanno as a second choice and a lot chose Thune, Hosko and even Ivey.
The Schanno and Anderson votes were put together for counting purposes after the first count was made. Of those 464 voters, 75 ended up voting for Thune, 86 ended up voting for Ivey and 189 ended up voting for Hosko. 115 voters that started with either Schanno or Anderson were wiped out in the second round of counting.
It was those votes that pushed Hosko into second and dropped Ivey to third.

Chuck this IRV voting is a bunch of crap. I commend you for your work in getting rid of this BS. I owe you a beer.
Lets give 3 Cheers for Dave Thune and Thumbs Down to this RANKIE RONCHIE Voting that St.Paul switched to, a under handed system over the standard voting system that we can trust without some telling us to pick our first chores 2nd and so on.
When we Go Vote we only want one chores and that is it.
Thune the WINNER and he almost lost with this trashy voting system
I Spoke against it 4 years ago when I ran for ward 2...!
