I suspect Ron will be the next home owner to hire attorney John Shoemaker.
way to go Ron. Although I still believe that this city council doesn't give a damn about Morris vs. Sax or any other law. They are all about doing whatever they please. A glimmer of hope though, the FBI is investigating and when Steinhauser wins, it will bring an end to this misbehavior.
Good for you Ron!
Ya gotta like this guy. He told the city council he repaired what was within the state building codes and nothing more.
Finally someone has the guts to stand up and say it to their face. Their response shows just how ignorant they are.
The city has opened Pandora's box, with it's weird code policies as well as its lying and witch hunting.
They continue to spread themselves thinner and rely more and more on creative use of the language. Hang onto your seats. the big crash is coming.
Ron tell them the way it is.
Tou should run for city council.
I will back you.
Ron,
Please, please make this a legal issue.
I beg of you.
The RICO suit is likely going to go nowhwere, but if we get a slew of suits about actual issues of law, the City is eventually going to get beaten. They are too dirty to stand up to a whole lot more cases like yours and Vue's.
I don't care if Magner and his pack of Chicago thugs get perp-walked out of 375 Jackson at gunpoint and in handcuffs by the FBI, or by a new administration after the voters finally cotton to what a thugocracy the DFL is running and get tired of paying the bills. Either way is fine by me.
Bob,
He'd be better off hiring Andy than Shoemaker... has Shoemaker won anything yet?

Shoemaker always wins. Sometimes it just takes a while.
Shoemaker won a round at the court of appeals didn't he?

My response;
Well just a couple of weeks ago John proved the city was tyrannical in the appellate courts, Bee Vue case.
There is very few attorneys in this area that know housing issues and law like John Shoemaker does.
Some of us feel pretty good the federal lawsuits will prevail in the plaintiffs favor. John and attorney Matt Engel have worked hard on these cases. I think we may hear something on the federal lawsuits against the city before the judges take their summer break in June.
I'm just taken by the resemblanse of Kathy Lantry to the Wicked Witch of the West.
