St. Paul cop charged with assault at O'Gara's
An off-duty bartender and a friend who intervened say they were roughed up by a group at a police party.

Roughed up by a group of partygoers, two men walked out of O'Gara's Garage in St. Paul last Jan. 20, one of them yelling, "Call the cops," according to a criminal complaint filed late last week.
Came a voice from back inside: "We are the [expletive] cops."
A Ramsey County District Court complaint filed Friday alleges that St. Paul officer Adam P. Siegfried, attending a police holiday party that Sunday night at O'Gara's, punched an off-duty bartender in the face and that Siegfried and other off-duty officers then kicked the man while he was down.
The bartender's friend tried to intervene, the complaint said, but he, too, was knocked to the ground, and after getting up, "was punched in the back of the head four or five times."
The off-duty bartender, identified as R.H.S., suffered cuts to his tongue that required 10 stitches to repair, the complaint said. And his friend, identified as D.W.O., sought treatment at Regions Hospital, too, for possible head and neck injuries, the charges say.
Siegfried, 35, faces four misdemeanor assault charges, plus a fifth count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. He could not be reached for comment Tuesday, and it was unknown whether he had been suspended pending the outcome of the case or was continuing to work.
Because of possible conflict-of-interest concerns in St. Paul, the case is being handled by Minneapolis assistant city attorney Lisa Godon. She said Tuesday she did not expect other officers to be charged: "There was not enough evidence in the reports to substantiate anything against anyone else," she said.
The incident at O'Gara's Bar & Grill, 164 Snelling Av. N., came near the end of a holiday party for the department's Western District officers.
According to the complaint, the off-duty bartender went into the bar's Garage area to speak to a friend tending bar, and he stopped briefly to speak with a woman there whom he did not know. Siegfried came by to whisper something to the woman, the complaint said, and after R.H.S. stepped away, Siegfried approached to say it was a private party.
After R.H.S. replied that he was there to talk to his friend, Siegfried then punched him, the complaint said, and the kicking ensued.
Godon said that because of the men's injuries, the case also had been reviewed for possible felony charges by the Hennepin County attorney's office, but it declined to issue any.

When I read this and learned of how it was bounced around the system and took a year to get into court all I could think of was more of that bureaucracy that protects morons like this.
All my life I have been a guy who friends and family have come to to deal with bullies. I have kicked a lot of ass in my life time. I don't know about you folks but I wished I had been at O Gara's so I could of had a piece of these ass holes.
I'm with you pilgrim.
Cops Beat Up A Defenseless Bartender with his concealed weapons, "Their Hands"!
Siegfried, 35, faces four misdemeanor assault charges, plus a fifth count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Remember,
He was trained in hand to hand combat, that means he was using his hands that are the same as using a "GUN"!
We let these criminals that work for the city or county off with a slap on the ass instead of putting them in Stillwater where they belong.
I was beat and shackled when Jesse Ventura had Leslie Davis and myself ( Bill Dahn) arrested for protesting him at Ch.2 in St.Paul in August 2003.
That was just for asking for my med's "Dilantin"!
Epilepsy' something that my med's protect my life, they denied people with Diabetes their "insulin" in "jail"!
Are these Cops and Sheriff Deputies legal to "commit murder"?
Lets hold the City and County by the balls, and hold these so called protectors of society liable for their actions.
The study of society and human behavior, stops at government and any of the agency hired to protect the public.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this post.

Hey St.Paul. Did You Know?
"Chief Finney's son", witch is a St.Paul Police Officer beat up gays at Lucy's Gay and Lesbian Bar on Tomas Ave in St.Paul, and he got away with it.
The Democrats in power allowing these powerless people to be beat, kicked, and even spit on by St.Paul's fineness
Me and You~
Wasn't Finney's son's case moved down to a Southern minneosta county near the iowa border? He was aquitted of charges.
Normal Police behavior, get used to it.
What most people do NOT know about that Lucys incident is that Aaron Foster was with Loretz. Guess who the armed security guard was?
What you did not read in the papers is that the fight started when Loretz sent his date over to a womans who was celebrating her 21birthday table to see if she would join them--literally. The girl refused the offer several times and Loretz assaulted the women and pulled his gun. One of the victims filed a civil suit against Loretz, recently. There is alot more to the story.
"He hit me in my head and knocked me out!"
this is the officer I was talking to one day about cops and code enforcement. He said ,"yeah if we have a problem with landlords or their tenants we'll just send Pat Fish to all their properties to nick them."Which means code enforcement for behavior.
Doug
what is it with you deputies?
Cops assualt a guy in a bar and you bring up another cop who assaulted someone in a bar as proof of what? The cops are out of control? Great.
Or, is it a way to blame Finney- again. He's been out of office for six years and yet some still can't let go.
These cops are out of control because of absentee leadership. Harrington, nice guy, not a leader.
Fletcher, not a nice guy, corrupt. How many of his close buddies have to go to jail before someone asks, where has the Sheriff been? He seems to have such control over every other part of the department.
Saint Paul and Ramsey County are screwed.
12:11 I am not a deputy. Truth hurts huh? I bet you did not know that anyone found out about that incident. Want me to tell the rest of it?
I'd sure like to hear the rest of it since the city has done such a good job sweeping it under the carpet.

Speak Out and tell the people what you know.
This has become the #1 blog around the water coolers in this city and state.
This has become something more then talk, we can get things done when we unite.
Tanks Bob for the the opportunity to speak out on things like St.Paul's government, police, Aaron Foster, Bill Finney, Get out of Jail FREE cards the Finney gave out to his friends, and the city council, mayor and his ways,
Look and see how many of these people are attorney's, and went to college to learn how to lie better then the next guy.
Pallet just put a freeze on state employees pay for two years, the state senate and rep's still get pay raises and kick backs from lobbyists.
Speak Out -- Speak Out!
Did I mention the drag queen that was at their table?
Ha ha! I always wondered what he was doing at Lucys! Its beginning to make sense now.
Give a cop, almost any cop, a few beers and be prepared to stand back to give his inner asshole some elbow room.
