Way too many people from different walks of life with differing claims that all boil down to a racist city attitude.

Stories such as this are very disturbing...there are just a few that go public. Do you realize how many others there actually are that are either afraid to go public or the city/county settles with a pay off so that the community is left in the dark on the reality of how the law enforcement department has many officers that are either burnt out, on a power trip or just out of control. All of which costs the taxpayers in the end, instead of hiring more law enforcement they should provide additional training for a more community policing team of law enforcement in a diverse society.

The way I understood that story the officer was cleared, which means the assault was justified... How can you justify an assault on an 85yr old person, officers are suppose to be trained to used force only as a last resort or when they feel threatened, if this officer actually fealt that threatened by an 85yr old man I think he should give up in the law enforcement field and get himself a safe desk job duty!

Looks to me like the officer was cleared with a little help from a neighboring city... That seems to be the solution in the cities favor quite often.

All fair in love and war.
But the cops always use force, and cover up the truth.
I think of cops, as a way to control the masses of people with
fear.
We should have the old time officers like in the 50's and 60's.
They treated people with respect.
Now we all are guilty, before we appear in court.
Why is this?
Do we really live in a hostile era.
You have only 1 right as a person,
That is the right to DIE.
Then do they steal all your belonging, before they berry you in the ground.
We all had a Cop that wanted to pee in our, like they did to the two Indians at the Little Earth Community.
We know that BIG BOTHER IS WATCHING. " Government "
I was beaten in my home for loud music.
They dropped the charges, when I went to Court.
Look at our Judges and give all involved with a trial, a sobriety test before court.
The Judges and Lawyers, cops are all buddies and might be in a BAR right before court.

am fascinated with this blog.

About 7 weeks ago I stumbled onto this blog doing a googles of the words "Ademocray in America". And here I am at this real life soap opera!

I am not from Minnesota but I do follow politics. Jesse Ventura took the state and nation by surprise when he won the Governor seat for Minnesota.

Jesses win had nothing to do with Jesse being a wrestler with name recognition. Jesse stood for something the average person could relate to, he wasn't afraid to speak his mind. And he wasn't always diplomatic about it.

It's great to see people standing up for what they believe in.

Although this may be in the wrong subject heading, I wanted to make note of this previously and now I cannot find the subject post.

I find it most interesting that a previous poster made the remark that people here like to send code enforcement out to the homes of the people that disagree with the people on this blog.

What came to mind right away was the fact that the argument here always seems to be one group of people that don't like government abuse when it comes to their property rights, and another group of people that seems to think that no matter how many people allege the same thing , that it just couldn't happen because governemnt never does anything wrong. They then promptly go on to bash epople about not wanting to fix their houses and how they endanger public saftey, etc.

What I find so interesting is that the group who seems to be afraid of having code enforcement sent to their homes are the same group that thinks it is not only OK for code enfrocement to go to the homes of everyone else, but to abuse their authority when they get there.

I have a question to ask of these folks that want to defend the governemnts actions time after time.

If your home is the condition you expect everyone elses home to be in, why are you so afraid of code enforcement paying you a visit?

Please answer, as I am trying to understand this issue in a rational and logical way.

3:03: We feel we are privileged. We are educated and have family, friends and neighbors not to mention co-workers who are officials of the city. We feel that we deserve the right not to be bothered by such ridiculous things as mere code violations. The City employees should only be going into the neighborhoods with the minorities and the older homes and get their jobs done there. We pay enough taxes that we expect to be given favortism with the City. We sometimes laugh that we never have to worry about our properties even if we have a few things that need fixing.

We like to get together and have block associations throughout the year. We speculate about new rules and regulations and even areas that should be given attention to the code inspectors to implement in their plan of inspections.

We like the way things are going and yes, we can sleep at night because it's not us that have notices mailed to us. We have the money to fix those types of things any way. ZZZZZZZZZZ
