I have looked at many of the homes the city has demolished with the thoughts of maybe trying to buy them from the owner and fix them up. They needed work, and in a few cases they should have been torn down, but the vast majority would have been salvagable. I can't help but wonder what the real motive is for demolishing all these homes. Why would a city intentionaly destroy their tax base on such a large scale?
