Conscience is the light of the Soul that burns within the chambers of our psychological heart. It is as real as life is. It raises the voice in protest whenever anything is thought of or done contrary to the righteousness. Conscience is a form of truth that has been transferred through our genetic stock in the form of the knowledge of our own acts and feelings as right or wrong. A virtuous and courageous person can alone use the instrument of conscience. He or she can alone hear the inner voice of the soul clearly. In a wicked person this faculty is absent. The sensitive nature of his / her conscience has been destroyed by sin or corruption. Hence he or she is unable to discriminate right from wrong. Those who are leading organizations, business enterprises, institutions and governments should develop this virtue of the ability to use their own conscience. This wisdom of using the clean conscience will enable them to enjoy the freedom.

Additional Saint Paul Regional Ballpark proposal'. Its basic message is that rather than taking down the large Gillette building in downtown's Lowertown neighborhood to build a Regional Ballpark, consideration should also be given to re-using this building to create a combined Ballpark - Amphitheatre complex instead. Phase two of this proposal includes a skyway connection and an indoor Velodrome (a bike racing facility) to create a unique in the world, year-round venue.
The City of Saint Paul's first Regional Ballpark illustrations became public in December 2010. This additional Ballpark - Amphitheatre concept was created in January 2011 (the Twin Cities is one of the largest US metro areas without a major Amphitheatre, and is now known nationally as one of the most bike friendly!).
The concept grew to include a Velodrome in November of 2011 after my discussions with those associated with the outdoor Velodrome in Blaine. In January, Governor Dayton included State funding for a Regional Ballpark in his 2012 Bonding request. Very soon State lawmakers will decide whether to support funding for half of the Saint Paul Regional Ballpark's cost of $54 million.
In recent weeks, I have had the pleasure of meeting with a number of State Senators and Representatives to show my support for the Regional Ballpark funding request while also introducing them to the Ballpark - Amphitheatre - Velodrome concept. Generally they find the proposal intriguing, worthy of consideration and understand the potential greater return on the public investment. The City of Saint Paul's position continues to call for the removal of the Gillette building to build a Regional Ballpark.
Many conversations, including suggestions and questions, have influenced the presentation below. Most of us have a shared interest in doing what is best for this prominent and important Saint Paul site and "doing what is right" as a Saint Paul State Representative said to me recently.
