Stupid, stupid stupid people is what will bring this country down.
Nobody watches CNN?

The Post-American World was written by Fareed Zakaria who is an editor at Newsweek International, has a regular column in Newsweek, Newsweek International and the Washington Post. He also hosts the weekend CNN program on international affairs, Fareed Zakaria GPS. He was raised in India but is an American citizen and not a Muslim.

In a 2008 Newsweek article about his book, Zakaria wrote, "The post-American world is naturally an unsettling prospect for Americans, but it should not be. This will not be a world defined by the decline of America but rather the rise of everyone else. It is the result of a series of positive trends that have been progressing over the last 20 years, trends that have created an international climate of unprecedented peace and prosperity."

Education wise we have dropped to 18 in the world. Our Health Care is barely makes the top ten. Our debt is held by several nations including China. China and India are the fastest growing middle classes in the world. Many Third world countries have been making sustainable economic choices.

We are not going to be the only super power in the world throughout my lifetime. However, we can learn how to remain the most influential, if we're smart. So far, not so good.

Obama is the worse president we have ever had. I feel our way of life in the U.S. is threatened by this man.

It will be a good day when Obama is voted out of office. He and his democrat stooges in the white house are working everyday to destroy our way of life and impose their opinion of how we should live on us. It will take years to repair the damages these socialist pigs have caused.

What damages Bob. You're another sheep that's easily running after shiny things. What exactly has he done besides trying to fix the mess that fell into his lap and follow through on promises. You haven't posted one thing about him on here that's been true. The POS is between your ears.

Bush has been the worst president of the 20th century and its HIS mess that we're living through. You haters who don't read or study anything have bitching about him since the second month he was in office. Because you let the asswipes lead you around.

Wish I could say I was surprised but, this whole blog is an example of that.

Now, try listing the so called damages. Go back in your archives and pull one headline that was truthful you posted about him.
Try it.

Obama is the PIECE OF SHIT!

And Eric Bush is no longer a hero of mine. I lost faith in Bush and Republicans by the time Bush's term ended.

Democrat and Republican politicians have lost their way and do not represent us the people anymore. The Libertarians represent the vast majority of U.S. citizens and someday people will be angry enough to dump both major party's.

Why am I not shocked that you've given me the same basis for your discontent with Obama that you have with your lawsuits? Oh yeah, its tough to show something that's not true.

According to the WIKI link provided:
Zakaria was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to a Konkani Muslim family—though his religious upbringing was secular, including Christian hymns and the celebration of both Hindu and Muslim holidays

and this:
Zakaria attended The Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. He received a B.A. degree from Yale University where he was President of the Yale Political Union and editor-in-chief of the Yale Political Monthly. He later earned a Ph.D. degree in Political Science from Harvard University in 1993,[1] where he studied under Samuel P. Huntington and Stanley Hoffmann.

Not that religion matters to the scholarship of his work but, he went to catholic school and had a secular upbringing.

He's a very intelligent and accomplished person who has written some very intriguing books. These books are not for the Andy Capp crowd that willing to believe anything negative about the President without searching for truth.

However, this entire blog and its basis is littered with the types who damn determined to hold this country back while other pass us up.

Its time for Rush, go and get your education from the only teacher that matters. Don't let those with a real education deter you.

OMG an American President reading a book!!!

And a real one, not a picture book!

Wow... the world is coming to an end.

What is interesting about the ignorant anti-education right that views sweet Sarah P as an important politician, is that the idea is that someone would read something must mean that they already agree with what is inside the book.

Now I know this may surprise you but some of us read books to learn things and to have our own opinions challenged. I have read George Will and Buckley and even Rush....

Really read something some time, you might learn something.

And, worst president, Obama, are you kidding me? On a left, right scale, he is to the right of Nixon and Eisenhower for god sakes. This guy is no liberal. The health bill that passed was more pro-health insurance industry then what Nixon proposed in 1972 and the liberal wouldn't vote for.

From: Republican National Committee

Subject: The Barack Obama Electoral Misery Tour

Like an annoying tune you can't get out of your head, Barack Obama keeps using his ''rock star'' aura to campaign for Democrat candidates...and they keep on losing. So much for star power and presidential ''coat tails.''

First in Virginia and New Jersey, then Massachusetts and now Pennsylvania just this week, Barack Obama's endorsement has led to election flop after flop. Now
you can ensure the Democrats' 2008 overnight sensation and his ''Hope & Change'' theme turn out to be a one-hit wonder.

It seems like just yesterday that the leftist Democrats and their fawning mainstream media fans were raving about their can't miss idol, and his ''tingle down my leg'' charm.

But after wasting trillions of dollars of Americans' hard-earned incomes on a series of chart-busting flops like ''Stimulus'' and ''Obamacare'' with no sign of lowering unemployment or changing his Big-Government-Is-Better tune, Obama's popularity is dropping like a stone.

No matter how his PR team tries to sell ''anti-incumbency'' or blame poor performance on bad campaigns, Barack Obama has Democrat candidates running for the exits.

Barack Obama and his Democrat allies don't realize that their big-spending, bloated government, liberty-crushing act is going nowhere fast with the American people, but the voters have had enough of their left-wing schtick and have let them know with four straight election defeats of Obama-endorsed candidates.

When you make a contribution to the RNC to help Republican candidates bring the curtains down on the Obama Electoral Misery Tour this November, you'll be making sure an historic GOP victory has them singing the blues!

Here's how your contribution helps the RNC bring about an end to the Obama Democrats' disastrous rule this crucial 2010 Election Year:

The RNC is committed to doing everything necessary to win back Congressional majorities and elect principled conservatives at all levels in November. We're working with state parties, grassroots activists and Republican candidates across America to ensure this happens.
By June, the RNC will have more than 100 Victory staffers in place across the country.
Staff is being strategically placed throughout the country to take advantage of a growing number of targets.
Our Victory program continues to be ahead of the curve by employing innovative technology to improve the efficiency of our voter contact and GOTV programs.
Finally, your support will allow us to provide the advertising, volunteer recruitment and training, and direct financial support to our candidates that will mean all the difference on Election Day 2010.

Let's make November the Obama Democrats' finale -- and then move on to preparing our 2012 encore!!! Support sweeping Republican victories today!

That's special Congressional elections in a row you've lost since Obama became President. You sound just like you did in 2006 and 2008.
You are right, Democrats rate pretty low with people, the only things that rate lower are Republicans. Go back to your hole, he misses you.

Obama is straightening this country out and the ignorant are kicking and screaming all the way back into prosperity. Where the hell were your voices when the President was breaking this country?

Mark Critz Wins: Where is the Republican Wave?

While the pundits called yesterday's Pennsylvania special election a "must win" for Republicans, Democrat Mark Critz turned out a strong victory and cast doubt on predictions of GOP dominance this November. Republicans themselves had guaranteed a win in Pennsylvania's 12th Congressional district, a culturally conservative area that went for John McCain in 2008. But last night's election was the 7th competitive House special election in a row that Democrats have won, showing that Democrats are building momentum heading into the midterm elections. Over the course of the campaign, volunteers made more than 120,000 phone calls and knocked on nearly 112,000 doors in support of Mark Critz.

DNC Chairman Tim Kaine congratulated Congressman-elect Critz:

"Mark Critz is a strong Democrat who will continue the legacy of the late Congressman John Murtha by working in Congress to create high-quality jobs and opportunities for hard-working Pennsylvanians and their families. I would like to extend my congratulations to Congressman-elect Critz, and to the many Pennsylvanians who worked tirelessly for his election....

The Republican Party’s failure to take a seat that they themselves said was tailor made for them to win is a significant blow and shows that while conventional wisdom holds that this will be a tough year for Democrats, the final chapter of this year’s elections is far from written.”

Politico: The GOP's special failure

All the evidence pointing to monster Republican House gains this fall—the Scott Brown upset win in Massachusetts, the scary polling numbers in once-safely Democratic districts, the ever-rising number of Democratic seats thought to be in jeopardy—was contradicted Tuesday.

In the only House race that really mattered to both parties—the special election to replace the late Democratic Rep. John Murtha in Pennsylvania’s 12th District—Republicans failed spectacularly, losing on a level playing field where, in this favorable environment, they should have run roughshod over the opposition.

Given the resources the GOP poured into the effort to capture the seat and the decisiveness of the defeat—as it turned out, it wasn’t really that close—the outcome casts serious doubt on the idea that the Democratic House majority is in jeopardy and offers comfort to a Democratic Party.

Salon: In PA-12, Democrats win a McCain district

John Boehner might want to revise that prediction about the GOP picking up 100 House seats this November. Here his party was, faced with a special election for a House seat in the only district in America to flip from John Kerry in 2004 to [John McCain] in 2008 -- and they came up short. Very short.

With most of the precincts in on Tuesday night, Democrat Mark Critz's winning margin over Republican Tim Burns for the Pennsylvania House seat vacated by John Murtha's death stood near double-digits -- a sum made all the more impressive by pre-election predictions the spread would be razor-thin.

He can hang out and talk sex with Mark Foley, or Mark Sanford, or John Ensign, or any of the whopping 15 Republican Revolutionaries who've been caught in career-ending scandals — “Most of whom came to town with a 'family values' message,” notes Dana Milbank of the Washington Post.

Sure, Milbank allows, any party can be hit by scandal. But it seems every year a new '94 Republican falls from grace. This time it was Souder, a strong “family values” guy who made videos preaching about abstinence education with his married mistress. In one, he equates sex with smoking, and laments how tough it is to get them to abstain. “Nothing works very well,” he says. She nods sympathetically. She can relate.

After the next elections there will be no funding for Obama's health care program. It will never get any funding if the majority of American citizens have their way.

Why? Its been signed into law. No matter what the results, you are not going to get 2/3rds to change this- especially now that people are finding out the truth and not the rhetoric you're repeating. Your entire frame is wrong on this and people who have health insurance are starting to realize that there is much less rationing because of this legislation. They cannot drop you for getting sick anymore and your kids can stay on your family plan until 26. So when you get cancer and go through the limit they decide- you can continue treatment and they pay- just like they agreed to when you first signed up for insurance. The pre-conditions for children have been removed too. If you actually raised a family, you'd understand how the insurance companies screw you the moment you need them.

Obama's health care program will go down in history for what it is. A socialist threat to American citizens and our economy.

Really? Is public education a threat? I don't remember the constitution stating that everyone must go to school until 16. Has that been a socialist threat?
Socialism seems to be doing fine in countries like Norway.

We have socialism already in the sense that if Bob gets hit by a car, shot by a stray bullet or falls into the river, he will be taken care of- all on the dime of the taxpayers and those of us who pay for health insurance. I say its about time he pulled his own weight and start paying for the access to that health care.

Next time this year I promise I will still not be a part of Obama's health care program. I will not be a silent objector either.

Why do you insist on bullshitting us on this issue. Only a fool would use personal investments instead of insuring themselves through an insurance company. You're trying to tell us that you're using the MC Hammer method of money management. I suggest you look at Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Rush Limbaugh and Rupert Murdoch. All guys with more money than you can get in this lifetime and each one carries health insurance.

The president demands I buy health insurance to pay for a percentage of Chuck and Eric's health care cost. :)

This is the lie heard across the nation. Starting in about four years, you be taxed by the IRS about $55 more per month for those employed at the middle class level and higher. To be exempt from this, you will have to show that you have minimum insurance coverage either from your employer or yourself. You will also be able to exempt yourself for various other reasons.

One trip the emergency for something as little as a bellyache can cost $2000 after they're finish with you. The taxpayers have been on the hook for this kind of cost for decades. For people who can afford to, and do not take responsibility for themselves and put that burden on the rest of us, your time is up. Sorry Bob, no more free lunch.

NOBODY, including the president of the United States, is going to demand I buy a product I do not need.

Ummm, you do need it, you just don't know when. You are demanded to carry auto and home insurance by the government. Do you use the schools you pay for? When was the last time you used the fire department? How about the US Marshall service?

You and anyone else who has bought into the health insurance industry are fools Eric. I want you folks out there to think about something. IF you had taken all the moneys you spent over the years on health insurance and put it into an investment that was accruing interest or gaining equity you would have money in the bank and not have just thrown it away to help some insurance company show a profit. The odds are you will never have a major medical crisis in your life time.
And if I do, I am secure in having the funds to take care of myself. Why should I take money from my health care plan for myself and give it to others? I won't ever!

Eric said;
You are demanded to carry auto and home insurance by the government. Do you use the schools you pay for? When was the last time you used the fire department? How about the US Marshall service?

My response;
Auto insurance---> the odds are greater you will get into an auto accident versus needing health care. Especially with all these uninsured illegal aliens driving. I have auto insurance. Although I don't believe it should be mandatory. Wisconsin has better laws pertaining to liability of auto accidents.

This is real simple. Do any of you think for one minute insurance companies would be in business if everyone that bought insurance exceeded the cost they pay for it with claims. NO!

The cost of home owner and auto insurance is a fraction of the cost of health insurance. It is an easier pill to swallow.

Bob, every report I have seen says that Canada's health care system serves "normal, average, hard working people" better than the US system.

I pay almost $14,000 a year to cover just myself for health insurance. My 26 year old son pays just under $7,000 a year.

There are millions of people in this country that can't afford that.

The plan that was approved by congress is only a start for a true national health insurance plan that this country needs. You right wingers can scream all you want, but sooner or later the public will wake up and that the health insurance industry is raping us and we need a national health plan.

The other thing in your response is that you are correct every person shows up at the emergency room and you and I pay for them with our county tax dollars at to prices for emergency room care!!!

You are proving our point. Instead of paying less money to have them go to a normal doctors office and get preventative care, we are spending a fortune through our property taxes when they show up in emergency rooms.

That is the part of this I don't understand. It is pretty clear that all of us as tax payers would save money if we paid for the poor's health care by giving them access to doctor's offices, but the health insurance industry gets guys like you Bob to spew that it is better for us to pay a premium for E.R. care and for us to get raped by the insurance industry.

Bob,
this is the third reference you've made indicating that I think I'm better somehow than the rest or think I'm smarter. Listen to the horse's mouth: No, I don't.

In fact, its your buddies on here that many times turn my race to try and make something less of my posts. What they have helped show is that all blacks don't think, act or speak alike. Many of us share the same experiences but, we come from all walks of life. There is at least one they now know of that can take them on toe to toe in any arena on any subject.

Coming on this blog is a game of hide and seek. I already before I read the main post which way its slanting. So, I read between the lines at what you're/they're trying to hide, and seek out the fact (truth) to counter it. That's it.

Your buddies think I'm spinning and twisting but as Harry S. Truman said about the Republicans in his day:
“I never give them hell. I just tell the truth and they think it's hell.” (He was giving a speech in Illinois in 1948 talking about the obstructionist Republicans when someone yelled out 'Give em Hell Harry'-that quote was his response)

You serve it up, I just swing. However, I don't believe what I do on here makes me smarter, I just think most of your buddies take the lazy way out and bitch and complain and are willing to grasp on to anything that backs their views, be it fact or fiction.

Any of your buddies (minus one or two but they will remain nameless) can do what I do, its just that it won't serve their agenda. Its better for them to stick with the fiction and you enjoy feeding into that by posting such topics as this one.

What we aren't agreeing on is Obama Care. Fact is, most Americans do not want Obama Care. The polls show this. It was shoved down our throats.

I predict most citizens have about had it with President Obama. Voters will express their opinion in the voting booth.

Socialism seems to be doing fine in countries like Norway.

Pffft.

Norway has huge oil reserves which it uses to supplant it's socialist programs. It also isn't taking in it's fair share of third world migrants.

Drop a few hundred thousand Somali's on them and see how that works for them.

Somalis are in Norway en-masse and there are people who feel about them like you do Swiftee, who wants to send them back to Holland, Italy and even Somalia. They are having issues with crime and cultural clash- though other Africans have been immigrating there for years without much fanfare.

Yeah, sharing oil revenues from their offshore drilling seems to work out very well for the people of Norway over there. Just like sharing natural gas revenues worked out well for the citizens in Alaska. Socialism under Sarah Palin was ok?
