A virtuous and courageous person can alone use the instrument of conscience. He or she can alone hear the inner voice of the soul clearly. In a wicked person this faculty is absent. The sensitive nature of his / her conscience has been destroyed by sin or corruption. Hence he or she is unable to discriminate right from wrong. Those who are leading organizations, business enterprises, institutions and governments should develop this virtue of the ability to use their own conscience. This wisdom of using the clean conscience will enable them to enjoy the freedom.

Hi All,
A Democracy Town Hall member Nancy Osterman brought us this story.
The pic you seen on the front page of the town hall is her next door neighbors "do it yourself septic tank installation". No permits were pulled and obviously there is no consideration for other neighbors health.
All the homes in this neighborhood have private wells, this neighbor will be taking a dump in Nancy and her neighbors drinking water if this septic project isn't stopped. This is lake property and this surely can not be good for the lake either.
Nancy and other neighbors have had issues with this neighbor from hell for sometime. The offensive property has siding that hasn't been completed on the upper level of the home and it has been this way for years. The over all condition of the property is deplorable.
In the past when neighbors have confronted this neighbor from hell with issue they were having with the property they have been threatened.
Nancy's son was taking pics of the "do it yourself septic system", the neighbor came out and threw a garden rake at him and made threats that they better not complain about the septic system installation.
Nancy called the sheriff and filed a complaint. After the sheriff left the neighbor made another threat stating Nancy would be sorry for making the complaint against them.
In Saint Paul the city goes overboard with housing code issues, in Isanti County the local government doesn't seem to do enough.
Nancy is looking for advice to deal with this situation. Your comments will be appreciated.

Nancy, is this a black water holding tank without a drain feild?
11:25PM Yes they did make the threat after the sheriffs left. But hey I am used to threats I received plenty of them in St. Paul.
1:07AM I expected comments such as yours and actually thought to myself that this is part of my punishment for my past in which I did not qualify for the best neighbor of the year award either. But....my yard and home even back then looked much better than this.
2:05AM I am not sure if the tank is just a holding tank or if they have a drain-field too. It is at a higher level then their home so I would think they would have a pump system to get it up to this new tank and typically that type of set-up is designed for a drain-field.
I am not one to complain on a neighbor and have turned my head to everything else they have constructed over there but when it comes to septic system, well water and the lake I felt they had gone a bit too far this time. The tank is less then 6 inches from my property line fence and was buried above ground with a retainer wall and the wooden fence to hold the dirt back and cover this tank.
