Pioneer Press/ St. Paul expects to rake in $496,000 from snow emergency

Judging from the comments at the Pioneer Press some citizens are wondering why the city declared a snow emergency. Citizens are wondering if the city is picking the citizens pockets.
For sometime many businessmen have had the opinion the Department of Safety and Inspections is a revenue generator for the city. The city impound lot has been suspect of generating revenue for the city. Property tax's went through the roof. Any of you starting to feel like hamburger?

Shocking! This same city council (Lantry and Thune) made hay about Norm Coleman raising fees, but they have no problem with doing this crap under Chris Coleman.

Difference one is a Republican and the other is a Democrat.

Can we say double standard?
