What a shame. Usually people here bitch about the illegal and corrupt behavior of the city housing inspections and the common theme is that no one can figure out why there is NO ONE that is willing to stop it. That's only houses and money. This case is MURDER. A brutal murder and for 30 years the same corrupt city and officials cover it up. How many others have there been where the family does not have the stamina to focus on justice for so many years? Would it have been covered up like this if it were a white girl with blonde hair and the daughter of a Highland Park Doctor or Attorney? Doubt it............one thing I do not doubt is that St. Paul and it officals past and present are just a cesspool of scum and slim.

I am sorry I am going a little off topic here.

1:19, first I agree with much of what you said. However when it comes to housing(race)issues people are doing more than bitching about it. The issue is in the supreme court. HUD has proposed new regulations in part due to the impact of the fair housing lawsuits. The NAACP, ACLU, 12 states, and former directors and assistants directors of HUD among many others have written amicus briefs supporting the fair housing lawsuits.

This is real scary stuff. Read what the National Housing Institute said about the fair housing lawsuits HERE

Concerning housing in Saint Paul, we are in a fight that will impact the nation one way or another for many years to come.If the city wins the lawsuit the legal precedent has the potential to be a road map for institutionally racist city's across America to gentrify minority neighborhoods.

WHY isn't local media covering the fair housing lawsuits? The rest of the nation is. Is local media influenced by institutional racist? google Magner v Gallagher

As for the judgement against Aaron Foster.

You are right, if Foster had murdered a rich white girl 30 years ago there may of been immediate justice.

My stats here at the blog show me there is great interest in this topic. I don't expect many to chime in. There is the "fear factor" Foster and friends are dangerous people.

Patty Bruce is one in a million. If it wasn't for her where would this case be? People I know are saying this case is stuff movies are made of. Patty has inspired people at a time in history when many of us are losing faith in law enforcement and our justice system.

Patty is one of my hero's!

This story proves there is good police officers willing to stand up for justice under very difficult circumstances. This story is a story of many good people rallying around a good cause. Good people who will look a threat to society in the face and say we will hold you accountable!

But did Foster eally do it or this just granstanding by you and Bruce? That's the question that begs for an answer.

Well beggar here is your answer.

In a crimnal court hearing A jury said they thought Foster was guilty but just didn't have enough evidence to convict him.

In a civil hearing Judge Lindman reviewed evidence and he believes Foster is guilty. Judge Lindman passed a judgement to that fact. You must of missed that link.

I think it is callous of you to even suggest Patty Bruce is grand standing. Would you be grand standing if you were seeking justice for a murdered member of your family?

What do I have to gain from posting this story? I like many others who have sided with the Winn family feel Foster needs to be held accountable. This is a public record of that accountability.

This is an open forum, Aaron can come here at anytime and say none of this is true and tell us why it isn't true.
