City Hall Scoop/ St. Paul landlord case will not go before U.S. Supreme Court today. Should it have?

Moving forward with a trial will cost taxpayers thousands of dollars and tie up the city attorney’s office with more legal work. Villaume has to wonder if St. Paul got anything in the process of withdrawing its petition from the Supreme Court. For instance, did the city get the landlords to agree to limit the damages they’re asking for, should the property owners win the case?

Judging from the comments at the Pioneer Press some citizens are wondering why the city declared a snow emergency. Citizens are wondering if the city is picking the citizens pockets.
